About the Role: As a Heavy Maintenance Representative, you’ll serve as the on-site liaison between the company and its maintenance vendors, overseeing all major aircraft maintenance activities to ensure work is completed safely, on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards. You’ll monitor progress, validate technical discrepancies, review records and invoices, and coordinate with internal teams to maintain compliance and efficiency. In this role, you’ll represent the company’s best interests, uphold regulatory and contractual requirements, and contribute to the overall reliability and readiness of the fleet. A Day in the Life: Your day will be dynamic and highly collaborative, centered around ensuring every Heavy Maintenance Visit (HMV) or unscheduled “Drop-In” maintenance event runs smoothly, efficiently, and in full compliance. Typical responsibilities include: • On-Site Representation: Serve as the company’s on-site representative for all matters related to Heavy Maintenance, providing leadership and oversight throughout each visit., • Maintenance Oversight: Monitor all scheduled and unscheduled maintenance performed by the HMV Service Provider to ensure quality, cost, and schedule expectations are consistently met., • Decision Support: Provide an active management presence, ensuring that all maintenance decisions and actions are made in the best interest of the company., • Compliance Assurance: Oversee the HMV Service Provider’s adherence to company policies, the General Maintenance Manual, and all applicable technical data, procedures, and directives., • Contract Management: Ensure the HMV Service Provider fulfills all contractual obligations and performance expectations., • Technical Review: Evaluate and validate “non-routine” technical discrepancies to support accurate and efficient resolution., • Record Monitoring: Track the completion, accuracy, and processing of aircraft maintenance records to maintain compliance and traceability., • Progress Tracking: Continuously monitor work progress and ensure each HMV is completed on schedule and within approved cost targets., • Communication Liaison: Act as the primary link between the HMV Service Provider and the company’s Maintenance & Engineering Department., • Asset Protection: Safeguard and account for all company property and assets throughout the maintenance process., • Material Coordination: Partner with the Material Coordinator to ensure required parts and materials are available to meet maintenance schedules., • Reporting: Provide daily progress reports and compile cost, man-hour, and performance summaries for the Maintenance Planning Manager., • Invoice Review: Review and validate HMV invoices to ensure all charges are accurate, supporting the development of maintenance budgets and future HMV planning., • Issue Escalation: Quickly report any conditions that could impact work quality, progress, or cost to the Heavy Maintenance Manager., • Audit & Quality Control: Audit each HMV aircraft’s Statement of Work and Work Release to confirm data accuracy and ensure all maintenance is properly accounted for., • Work Completion: Verify that all scheduled maintenance items are completed or properly transferred per approved procedures., • Safety & Security: Support the company’s Safety Management System (SMS) by contributing to Safety Risk Management and Safety Assurance activities., • Be Part of a Team That Values You: Join a supportive and experienced maintenance team that takes pride in collaboration, safety, and excellence in every aircraft project., • No Two Days Are the Same: Every visit brings new challenges—from troubleshooting complex issues to managing unscheduled maintenance—keeping your work engaging and rewarding., • Make a Tangible Impact: Your technical expertise and leadership directly influence aircraft reliability, operational readiness, and passenger safety. We’re looking for someone who is: • Detail-Oriented: You understand that precision matters — ensuring every maintenance task, record, and inspection meets exact technical and regulatory standards., • Communicative: You clearly share information between vendors, engineers, and internal teams to maintain alignment and prevent missteps during complex maintenance projects., • Proactive: You anticipate potential maintenance delays or quality issues and take action early to keep schedules and budgets on track., • Collaborative: You work seamlessly across departments and with outside service providers, fostering strong partnerships that support successful maintenance outcomes., • Safety-Oriented: You instinctively prioritize safety in every decision, ensuring all maintenance work adheres to the highest operational and regulatory safety standards., • High School Diploma/GED, • At least 5 years of experience in the maintenance of large aircraft and or EMB 135/145, ATR’s, • Ability to occasionally lift 75+ pounds, • Ability to work at heights in excess of 10 feet, • Ability to work indoors and outdoors, • Ability to perform intermittent physical activity, including bending, reaching, and prolonged periods of standing., • Available to work flexible shifts, including early mornings, late nights, holidays, and weekends., • Participation in initial and random drug and alcohol screenings in accordance with the DOT and FAA guidelines., • Strong aircraft systems background, • Sheetmetal background, • Must possess good written and verbal communication skills, • Ability to manage high-stress situations, • Maintenance Manuals, Structural Repair Manuals, Illustrated Parts Catalogs, Component Manuals, etc., • Previous experience in overseeing heavy maintenance and/or vendor management, • Previous experience with aircraft check flow, • Previous experience with production control, • Current Violation free A&P License, • A current and valid Driver’s license, • Able to travel to other locations to perform maintenance, • A Currently possess a valid passport, • If hired, must be able to demonstrate that you are authorized to work in the U.S., • Ability to speak/read/write in English Pay & Perks: Compensation is $90,000 - $100,000/annually.
