Job Summary: Arizona Liver Health/Arizona Clinical Trials is looking for qualified candidates for the Lead A/R Specialist position in Chandler, AZ. Title: Lead A/R Specialist Compensation: $70,000 - $80,000 per year, depending on experience Status: Full-time, Salary, Exempt Reports to: Research A/R Manager Work location: Onsite in Chandler Integrity, Equity, Collaboration, Innovation, and Excellence, • Assists in overseeing the preparation and submission of invoices related to clinical trial activities, ensuring accuracy and timeliness., • Supports the reconciliation of accounts receivable (AR), ensuring payments align with sponsor contracts and study budgets., • Monitors and resolves AR discrepancies, including denied or unpaid invoices., • Supports an organized system for tracking AR milestones and deliverables., • Assists in maintaining the overall invoicing and collection of all research-related operations., • Helps generate and analyze reports on AR performance, payment status, and revenue cycles., • Actively collaborates and presents findings and recommendations to Research AR Manager and leadership to enhance operations., • Supports regular reporting of application activities and timely management of AR aging components., • Assists in maintaining and improving sustained cash flow through diligent and aggressive monitoring of sponsor accounts., • Relays changes of information to appropriate team members., • Fosters compliance with federal, state, and institutional guidelines, including Good Clinical Practice (GCP), and applicable AR regulations., • Stays informed about changes in clinical research AR regulations and collaborates in updating processes accordingly with the leadership team., • Adheres to applicable established Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) and consistently meets or exceeds AR department performance expectations., • Works closely with contract and budget teams to align AR practices with agreed-upon terms., • Works directly with the Contracts and Budgets, QA/QC department, and other team members to understand all aspects related to research AR., • Assists in QC/QA of AR colleagues' review of contracts at trial start, throughout the duration of the trial, and trial close to ensure configurations in CTMS systems are accurate and are functioning properly, payments (including startup costs and/or closeout costs) are being received, and SOPs (including trial irregularities) are written in a timely manner., • Assists Research AR Manager in reconciling revenue accounts each month and follows the approved process to remove uncollectable revenue from AR reporting., • Researches customer (CRO/sponsor) discrepancies and past-due amounts with the assistance of the Research AR Manager and other staff., • Helps train, oversee, and work with virtual employees assigned to assist the Research Accounts Receivables (AR) Team., • Fosters a collaborative environment with clinical research coordinators, investigators, and other teams., • Trains and mentors staff members in the department to ensure optimal performance and adherence to organizational standards., • Assists in developing tools to evaluate areas of importance, including SOPs and workflow analysis., • Supports Research AR manager in maintaining a library of SOPs for AR processes., • Facilitates portal access for new trials., • Copies, files, and retrieves materials for accounts receivable as needed., • Relays changes of information to appropriate employees., • Aids in calculating data to inform organizational operations and support decision-making., • Minimum three (3) years of Clinical Research AR experience or five (5) years of AR or relevant accounting experience., • Knowledge of general financial accounting and cost accounting, • Understanding of and the ability to adhere to generally accepted accounting principles, • Minimum two (2) years of customer service experience, • Strong written / verbal skills, • Strong analytical skills, including excel spreadsheets, • Ability to understand and learn new processes quickly, • Excellent verbal and written communication skills., • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail., • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or similar software, and accounting software, • Ability to operate related office equipment, such as computers, 10-key calculator, and copier., • Ability to work independently and in a fast-paced environment., • Ability to anticipate work needs and interact professionally with customers., • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail., • Understanding of healthcare industry, specifically clinical trial / research preferred, • QuickBooks knowledge preferred, • Bachelor's Degree in Management, Finance, or related field, • Three (3) years or more in accounting or billing experience in a clinical hospital or healthcare setting or
