Civil Clothing Inc. is seeking an experienced and driven Production Manager to join our growing production team. This role is ideal for a proven leader who thrives in a fast-paced apparel environment and is excited to bring innovative designs to life with precision, speed, and care. As Production Manager, you will play a critical role in translating creative vision into high-quality, on-time, and cost-effective product. You are the connective tissue between Design, Sales, Merchandising, Planning, Technical Design, Sourcing, and our vendor partners, ensuring seamless execution from concept through shipment. What You’ll Do Production Leadership & Execution • Own the full production lifecycle: from issuing vendor purchase orders through shipment, across all assigned categories, ensuring alignment with launch calendars., • Manage WIP reports, production timelines, and time-and-action calendars; proactively identify risks, analyze root causes, and implement timely solutions., • Partner closely with Planning and the Director of Production to manage priorities and expedite urgent orders., • Build and maintain strong relationships with domestic and overseas vendors, ensuring adherence to quality, compliance, and delivery standards., • Conduct regular vendor check-ins to track progress, address challenges, and provide guidance., • Communicate daily with sourcing offices and vendors on development, delivery, costing, and production status., • Collaborate with Product Development and Technical Design to ensure technical packages are complete and aligned with goals for delivery, function, fit, cost, and commercial viability., • Identify bottlenecks or delays early and implement proactive mitigation strategies., • Create and maintain weekly Excel reports, including line lists, inventory, and production status., • Communicate daily with Product Development on sample submissions and approvals., • Lead with fairness, inclusivity, and respect, valuing diverse perspectives and collaboration., • Foster strong working relationships across teams and with external partners., • Model a sense of urgency, professionalism, and pride in execution. What You Bring Knowledge, Skills & Abilities • Expert knowledge of apparel and accessories production processes, timelines, and compliance standards., • Strong organizational skills with exceptional attention to detail and follow-through., • Proactive problem-solver with the ability to think independently and manage through ambiguity., • Excellent written and verbal communication skills., • Strong interpersonal skills and a positive, people-first approach to leadership., • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint) and PLM systems., • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously in a high-paced, deadline-driven environment., • Comfort working under pressure while maintaining accuracy and professionalism., • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering, Manufacturing, or a related field (or equivalent combination of education and experience)., • 3–5+ years of professional experience in production and/or product development., • Demonstrated experience managing product from concept through completion., • Strong knowledge of costing, garment construction, pre-production, and production coordination., • This role is primarily office-based with regular use of standard office equipment., • Ability to sit or stand for extended periods and move throughout office, showroom, or production environments as needed., • Ability to occasionally lift, carry, or move materials or product weighing up to 25 lbs, with or without reasonable accommodation., • Visual requirements include close vision, distance vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus, with or without reasonable accommodation., • Ability to work in varied environments, including exposure to noise, temperature fluctuations, and occasional outdoor elements., • Ability to manage multiple priorities, deadlines, and shifting demands in a fast-paced environment., • Capacity to maintain focus, sound judgment, and professional communication while navigating time-sensitive issues., • Valid CA Driver’s License, • Valid Passport or ability to obtain one, • Domestic and international travel up to 20%, including occasional evenings or weekends as needed.
