Job ID: 721726BR Date posted: Apr. 01, 2026 Description:You will be the Quality Inspector for the SOF GLSS team. Our team is responsible for delivering high‑quality inspection, testing, and sustainment services that support the Special Operations Forces - Global Logistics Support Services (GLSS) contract. What You Will Be Doing As a Quality Inspector your responsibilities will include: • Inspection/verification of electrical/electronic harnesses, components, cables including fiber optics, tubing, aerospace vehicles cables, electrical assemblies such as circuit panels, solder inspections, dimensional check of aircraft assemblies, subassemblies, and installations of harnesses into aircraft for adequate routing during initial modification install to preliminary or released engineering technical documents. To assure all clearances are maintained between tubing, harnesses and structure as required by contractual specifications, • Inspection of structural, hydraulic, pneumatic, mechanical, flight control assemblies, subassemblies, bench assemblies, functional installations, and components for workmanship and conformance with requirements; the final assembly and mating of aircraft mechanical and structural components; installations of functional units and systems; verification of operational checkout of the completed aircraft and component assemblies from production and prior to flight line. Rejects unacceptable items and prepares documentation for their disposition, • Inspect and inventory aircraft modification kts utilizing a Bill of Material (BOM), modification, documents, engineering, drawings and schematics, • Performs solder certifying as required by company policy and industry standards, • Performs inspections and audits set forth in company policy regarding internal processes, process specifications and procedures, • Performs regular and superficial hardness testing in metals to assure heat treat processing and the properties produced conform to applicable specifications., • Inspect and inventory aircraft modifications kits utilizing a Bill of Materials (BOM), • Inspects for alignment, attachments, workmanship, completeness, and conformance to installations drawings, engineering, inspection and other specifications or requirements the final assembly and mating of aircraft structural components, • Inspects mating, framing, skinning, riveting of assemblies, sub-assemblies, and bench assemblies for workmanship, and conformance with requirements. Inspects such assemblies as fuselage and center sections, rotor blades, flight control surfaces and any attached structural installations for alignment, contour, material, finish and shortages, checks rivets, bolts, screws, and fasteners for cracks, edge distance, and size, • Inspects aircraft during and after washing, stripping, cleaning, and paint operations to assure that proper chemicals and processes are used. Inspects external aircraft insignias, decals and markings for proper location, material, and application methods in accordance with applicable process specifications engineering drawing and schematics, • Conducts a full compartment by compartment inspection of a complete aircraft for completeness and accuracy of installations; alignment, freedom, of movement, clearances, operation of functional systems; workmanship, attachment and conformance to specifications of required interior, cabin, power plant, and exterior accessories, identifications, and other attachments, • Assists or performs aircraft weight and balance using required aircraft technical documents and weight and balance recording systems, • Works under supervision with daily tasks, • Inspector must have the ability to read and interpret drawings, schematics, and technical specifications; execute inspection test methodologies of piece parts, components, assemblies and installations utilizing standard inspection tooling to include calipers, micrometers multimeter etc., • The inspector must be able to document inspection and test results to the defined criteria and expectations. The inspector must be proficient with common office computer software to include SAP. Must have effective oral and written communication skills and able to work in a teaming environment., • In-depth knowledge of Special Operations MH-47G, A/MH-6, and MH-60 aircraft systems., • Practical experience with Quality Management (QMS) internal audit processes--formal training preferred., • Ability to evaluate process compliance, write/review CA/PA reports, perform root cause analysis, and validate quality processes, responses, and plans., • Experienced in inspection of aircraft ground handling/servicing; component removal/replacement; scheduled and unscheduled maintenance; aviation safety message, Modification Work Order (MWO), and Time Compliance Technical Order (TCTO) execution., • Aircraft weight and balance certified., • Have an in-depth knowledge of aircraft historical records., • Effective communication skills for coordinating with managers/supervisors, Field Service Reps, system engineers, maintenance logistics support managers, and customers (DCMA)., • Experience with maintainers regarding quality issues, instrumentation system integration engineers, deficiency analysis/reporting, customer complaints, and other issues related to higher quality as they occur., • Ability to conduct incident and/or mishap investigation audits., • Prepares quality documentation and reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing information, and trends including failed processes, recalls, corrective actions, and validations., • Capable of conducting teleconference and/or briefing (presentation) to management/customer., • Excellent organizational, administrative, and computer skills (Microsoft Office Suite).
