Position Overview As a Security Systems Technician, you will install, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair physical security systems for commercial customers in a fast-growing industry. This is a hands-on field position requiring strong technical skills, professionalism, and the ability to work independently or as part of a team. Preferred Experience Ideal candidates will have experience with: • CCTV camera systems (analog and IP), • Burglar alarm systems, • Access control systems, • Low-voltage wiring and cable termination, • Basic networking and troubleshooting Key Responsibilities • Install and service video surveillance, access control, and alarm systems, • Mount and position cameras, door hardware, and alarm components, • Plan, run, label, and terminate cabling including CAT6 and coaxial cable, • Install NVRs, low-voltage power supplies, and related hardware, • Troubleshoot low-voltage, networking, hardware, and software issues, • Configure and diagnose routers, switches, wireless systems, TCP/IP settings, POE, firewalls, and port forwarding, • Maintain inventory, tools, equipment, and company vehicle, • Complete accurate installation, service, and inventory documentation, • Use company-provided tablets/laptops for communication and reporting Physical Requirements This role is physically active and requires: • Standing, walking, bending, kneeling, and climbing ladders daily, • Working indoors and outdoors in various environments, • Safely using ladders, lifts, hand tools, and power tools, • Lifting and moving up to 50 pounds regularly, • Retrieving and safely securing ladders from vehicle racks Requirements • Must be at least 21 years old, • High school diploma or GED, • Valid Kentucky driver’s license, • Ability to safely operate a company van or truck, • Ability to pass a drug test and background check, • Strong attention to detail, • Excellent communication and teamwork skills, • Working knowledge of Windows operating systems required, • Linux experience is a plus, • Knowledge of networking fundamentals preferred, • Ability to work overtime and weekends as needed, • Ability to travel locally and occasionally out of state, • Infrequent overnight travel may be required Schedule • Monday through Friday, • Typical hours: 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM, • Overtime and weekend work as needed Benefits • 401(k), • 401(k) matching, • Health insurance, • Dental insurance, • Vision insurance, • Life insurance, • Paid time off, • Employee discount, • Referral program, • Company-provided tools Work Location In-person Company DescriptionIntegrated Security Solutions (ISS-KY) is a nationally recognized provider of video surveillance, CCTV, alarm, and access control solutions headquartered in Nicholasville, Kentucky.
