Job DescriptionJob Title: Technical WriterJob Description A manufacturing and life sciences organization in Lexington, KY is seeking a Technical Writer to support the development, revision, and maintenance of technical documentation in a regulated environment. This role involves working cross-functionally with Engineering, Quality, Regulatory, R&D, and Operations teams to ensure documentation is accurate, compliant, and clearly written for end users. Responsibilities • Create, edit, and maintain technical documentation including SOPs, work instructions, manuals, validation documents, and training materials., • Translate complex technical, scientific, and manufacturing information into clear, concise documentation., • Partner with Engineering, Quality, Regulatory, Manufacturing, and R&D teams to gather requirements and validate content accuracy., • Ensure documentation complies with applicable regulatory, quality, and internal standards., • Manage document revisions, version control, and change documentation within controlled systems., • Support internal and external audits by providing accurate, up-to-date documentation., • Maintain documentation templates, formatting standards, and writing guidelines.Essential Skills, • Bachelor’s degree in Technical Writing, English, Communications, Engineering, Science, or a related field., • 2+ years of technical writing experience in a manufacturing, regulated, or technical environment., • Ability to write clear, structured, and user-friendly technical documentation., • Experience with SOPs, work instructions, and controlled documents., • Proficiency with Microsoft Word and document management systems., • Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple documentation projects.Additional Skills & Qualifications, • Experience in regulated environments (FDA, GMP, ISO, or similar)., • Exposure to life sciences, food safety, diagnostics, laboratory, or manufacturing operations., • Familiarity with electronic document control or quality management systems (EDMS/QMS).
