American Traveler is seeking a travel nurse RN ICU - Intensive Care Unit for a travel nursing job in Chico, California. Job Description & Requirements • Specialty: ICU - Intensive Care Unit, • Discipline: RN, • Start Date: 02/16/2026, • Duration: 13 weeks, • 36 hours per week, • Shift: 12 hours, nights, • Position is in a 12-bed Neuro Trauma/Surgical ICU within a Level II trauma hospital, • Patient population includes neuro and trauma cases, with the use of ICP monitors, CRRT, and lumbar drains, • Maintains a 2:1 patient-to-nurse ratio, • Must float to Cardiovascular Unit, Telemetry Care Unit, ICU/CCU, or Med Surg units as needed, • Uses Epic EMR; previous Epic experience required, • Night (NOC) shift, 12-hour shifts starting at 1900, • Must be able to care for patients utilizing advanced monitoring such as ICP monitors, CRRT, and lumbar drains, • Critical care and Med/Surg RNs are required to float as necessary, • The unit provides care for complex neuro and trauma patients in collaboration with a multidisciplinary team, • Only W-2 employees of their respective agencies are accepted for this assignment\n \n Requirements\n, • Active and current CA RN license required, • Minimum 5 years of acute critical care experience required, • Level II trauma experience in a critical care setting required, • Current BLS and ACLS certifications required, • Prior traveler experience is mandatory, • EPIC charting experience required\n Benefits\n, • High Pay and Bonuses, • Medical, Dental and Vision Insurance with Day 1 Options, • 401(k) Plan, • Weekly Payroll Deposit, • Free Online CEUs, • Generous Housing Allowance, • Travel and Licensure Reimbursements, • Non-taxed Per Diem and Subsidy With thousands of travel nursing and allied jobs nationwide, our attentive and approachable recruiters find positions that align perfectly with your career aspirations and personal requirements.
