Utility/Food Service Associate - Hospital | Location: Stockton, CA 95203 Compensation: $23 per hour| Part-Time Schedule: Varied, must have weekend availability Job Summary As a Utility/Food Service Associate, you’ll play a key role in keeping daily food service operations running smoothly. This is a cross‑trained position that supports multiple areas of the operation, including dishwashing, cashiering/retail service, and general kitchen support. You’ll help maintain a clean, organized, and welcoming environment while working alongside a collaborative team that values flexibility, teamwork, and great service. What You’ll Do • Support overall kitchen and food service operations across multiple areas, • Wash, sanitize, and organize dishes, utensils, and kitchen equipment, • Operate and maintain dishwashing equipment in compliance with sanitation standards, • Assist with cashiering, retail, or point‑of‑sale duties as needed, • Help keep kitchen, service, and dining areas clean, stocked, and organized, • Assist team members during busy meal periods to ensure smooth service, • Follow all safety, sanitation, and food handling guidelines, • Perform additional duties as assigned to support daily operations What You’ll Bring • High School Diploma/GED, • A positive attitude and willingness to learn across multiple roles, • Reliability, flexibility, and a strong team‑first mindset, • Ability to work in a fast‑paced environment and stay organized, • Comfort with physical tasks such as standing for extended periods and lifting kitchen items, • Strong attention to cleanliness and food safety standards, • Clear communication skills and a customer‑service oriented approach, • Previous food service, dishwashing, or cashier experience is helpful but not required — we’re happy to train the right person, • ServSafe® Certification and State Food Handler Card, • Ability to pass a criminal background check and drug screen Physical and Sensory Requirements • This job involves regular exposure to moving mechanical parts and a kitchen environment with fumes, airborne particles, and moderate noise. Employees must have the physical stamina to stand for long periods, lift trays, and perform repetitive tasks.
