Job Description Degree in American Sign Language (ASL) Interpreting, certified ASL Interpreter credentials, and 1+ year of experience as an ASL Interpreter in educational settings. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered. We are actively seeking six skilled Sign Language Interpreters (SLIs) for educational settings in Stockton, CA. This travel position offers a mix of full-time and part-time roles supporting students in an engaging and dynamic school district environment. Location: Stockton, California Position Type: Onsite travel opportunity within school settings Roles Available: • Four to five full-time interpreters assigned primarily to Special Education (SPED) classrooms, • Provide effective American Sign Language (ASL) interpretation services to support student communication and learning, • Collaborate closely with classroom teachers, SPED staff, and administrators to facilitate accessible education, • Adapt and tailor communication strategies to meet the needs of students with mild to moderate disabilities, • EIPA (Educational Interpreter Performance Assessment) score of 4.0 or higher required, • Proven experience interpreting in educational settings, especially with SPED students, • Bilingual Spanish skills are highly advantageous given the predominantly Spanish-speaking population in the district, • Strong understanding of ASL and educational interpreting protocols, • Opportunity to travel within the school district and engage with diverse student populations, • Meaningful work contributing directly to student success and inclusion Compensation for this position ranges from $29.69 to $49.69.
