Job DescriptionManufacturing Reliability Electrician Stockton, CA | If solving tough faults at 3 a.m. and getting a line back to full speed sounds like your kind of challenge, read on. Imagine This Scenario A packaging line stops mid-run. You pull the prints, trace the control circuit, verify 480V supply, and track a nuisance trip to a failing sensor input. You adjust the PLC logic, swap the device, verify with a meter and test lamp, and ramp up the VFD. Production resumes—safely and on spec. That’s the impact you’ll have here. What You’ll Do • Interpret blueprints and wiring diagrams to install and repair equipment and facility systems., • Service mechanical assets—motors, pumps, conveyors, belts, and fans—from teardown to rebuild., • Clean, lubricate, and align components to prevent failures and extend equipment life., • Handle major electrical work: 3‑phase/440V repairs, PLC troubleshooting, new equipment installations, and circuit testing and replacement., • Use diagnostic tools—ammeter, ohmmeter, voltmeter, test lamp, megger—to isolate defects in wiring, switches, motors, and other devices., • Replace switches, receptacles, and electrical components; remove or replace transformers and lighting fixtures., • Follow all safety procedures with zero exceptions, including lockout/tagout., • Keep supervisors informed of issues and actions taken throughout the shift., • Operate shop/plant equipment necessary to complete tasks., • Perform minor machining and gas/electric welding to repair or fabricate parts., • Independently cover electrical and mechanical needs on off-shifts., • Build broad operating knowledge of production and service systems across the facility. What It Takes, • 5+ years of industrial electrical maintenance experience in automated settings., • Two-year electrical degree or equivalent education preferred, not required., • English reading/writing/communication skills., • Basic computer skills for work orders and diagnostics., • Proven ability to collaborate and lead within teams., • Formal lockout/tagout training.
