Catholic Charities operates 18 community centers and 10 homeless shelters and also serves the poor with multi-faceted programs, including: after-school child care; immigration, refugee, youth employment and psychological services; homework assistance and tutoring; English as a Second Language (ESL) and General Education diploma (GED) classes for adults; and services for homebound seniors and pregnant and parenting youth. In this way, Catholic Charities maintains a continuum of care The Family Services Program Manager provides leadership, coordination, and oversight for the Family Services component of Good Shepherd Center's Farley House, a transitional housing program serving women and children experiencing homelessness. This role ensures the delivery of high-quality, family-centered services rooted in trauma-informed care within a safe and supportive residential environment. The Program Manager oversees daily program operations, supervises interns and volunteers, and supports families in achieving self-sufficiency and housing stability, while ensuring full compliance with agency policies, funding requirements, and regulatory standards for clients as they move from vulnerability to self-sufficiency. Responsibilities: • Oversee daily program operations to ensure a safe, structured, and nurturing environment for children and their families., • Maintain program schedules, family routines, and documentation systems with a high level of accuracy and organization., • Ensure full compliance with agency policies, contractual obligations, and established program outcomes., • Conduct regular wellness checks with families and ensure ongoing adherence to all health and safety protocols., • Assist with data tracking and maintain accurate, up-to-date case files and administrative records., • Provide trauma-informed, strengths-based support to families in transition., • Conduct intakes, orientations, and needs assessments with compassion and professionalism., • Develop individualized service plans (ISPs) to support family goals, including housing, employment, childcare, education, and wellness., • Facilitate parent meetings, workshops, and coaching to enhance family stability and confidence, • Offer strong client centered service in daily interactions, modeling patience, empathy, clarity, and professionalism., • Collaborate with parents around child development needs and communicate consistently regarding progress and expectations., • Assist with case management and may carry a small caseload, particularly supporting monolingual families, ensuring they access resources and services effectively., • Provide leadership and guidance to program staff, volunteers, and interns., • Support staff with coaching, training, and performance expectations., • Coordinate with case management, clinical services, childcare, and partner programs to ensure seamless support for families., • Foster a positive, team-oriented culture that emphasizes clear communication and respectful engagement., • Coordinate with case management, clinical services, childcare, and partner programs to ensure seamless support for families., • Attend case conferences, multidisciplinary team meetings, and required training to support client outcomes and continuous quality improvement., • Build positive relationships with families, partner agencies, schools, and service providers., • Support families in accessing external resources such as childcare, education programs, healthcare, and transportation., • Bachelor’s degree in human services or a related field., • Minimum of three years of experience working in child development, education, social services, family support and administration roles., • An interest in providing case management and coordinating family services, including carrying a caseload, is highly valued., • Strong communication skills, including the ability to engage with families in a respectful, compassionate manner., • Excellent organizational, documentation, and time management skills., • Ability to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment with diverse populations., • Ability to work respectfully and effectively with families from diverse cultural, racial, gender, and socioeconomic backgrounds using cultural humility., • Bilingual English/Spanish preferred, especially to support monolingual families., • No prior experience in homeless services required; GSC provides training and support., • Medical, Dental & Vision, • Life Insurance, • Retirement Plan to include 401a/employer contribution only and 403(b), • Supplemental Insurance (life, Accident, disability insurance, etc.), • Flexible Spending Account, • Health Care Spending Account Reimbursement accounts (HAS), • Vacation days – 12 days per year, • Sick time – 10 days per year, • Short and Long Term Disability, • 13 holidays per year for regular f/t & p/t employees, • Public Service Loan Forgiveness, • Cell Phones for those working in Shelters or with Clients outside of the office, • Employee Recognition - Annual Staff Appreciation Day Event, • Free Parking
