Job Description One of the nation’s largest independent testing facilities seeks an Analytical Chemist with a minimum 2 years' experience testing products for the pharmaceutical, nutritional cosmetic, personal care, medical device or allied industries. The position requires a working knowledge of testing products in a GMP regulated facility. Responsible for performing physical, chemical and instrumental techniques on APIs, raw materials and finished products according to schedule. Sample collection, intake and homogeneity., • Sample preparation across all applicable matrices. c. Reagent preparation, including safe handling, storage and disposal. d. Sample loading and initial data analysis performed under the technical supervision of a Laboratory Chemist. e. Basic troubleshooting of testing methodologies including all items listed within this sub-section., • For test methods the employee has been trained and determined competent for: a. Independently prepare samples using aseptic techniques, including compliant documentation and necessary updates to laboratory workflow. b. Perform initial data analysis under the technical supervision of a Laboratory Chemist or Microbiologist. d. Assist in equipment and method validations or verifications, including compliant documentation and necessary updates to laboratory workflow. e. Successful completion of proficiency testing samples, completed as part of ongoing competency within the test method., • Frequent contacts and interruptions during the day., • Video and/or audio surveillance for security purposes where laboratory activities are performed., • Use of personal protection equipment to limit exposure to chemicals or other hazards found within a laboratory environment., • Potential exposure to loud noises, fumes, or airborne particles, moving mechanical parts and vibration.
