Job Title: Registered Nurse Department: Telemetry Med-Surg Location: Unity Hospital Hours Per Week: Part Time - 24 hours Schedule: Nights 11p-7a; every other weekend and holiday. Because of this, our nurses develop a strong set of skills and knowledge that they can use to grow their career throughout the acute care environment. We are piloting a virtual nursing program on this unit, stationing one nurse in a virtual nursing hub during the hours of 0700-1900, while leaving six nurses physically on the unit to provide direct care to patients. The virtual nurse supports the bedside nurse in providing quality care to our patients, and is part of a virtual care model that includes pharmacy and social work. Prior to training and serving in the virtual nurse role, we require 6 months of experience working on the unit. RESPONSIBILITIES: • Provides high-quality, patient-centered, clinical care, • Performs initial and ongoing assessment of the patient, utilizing appropriate data (i.e. physical, psychological, educational and risk-screen data appropriate for the chronological / developmental age of the patient)., • Communicates and documents assessment of patient with the interdisciplinary team.
