Job Description Job Title: Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) Location: Newark, NY Duration: 13 Weeks (Contract) Schedule: Day Shift | 5x8 Hours (6:00 AM – 2:00 PM) Hours: 40 Hours/Week Job Summary We are seeking a compassionate and dependable Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) to provide direct patient care in a long-term care (LTC) setting. The CNA will assist patients with daily living activities, monitor patient conditions, and support nursing staff to ensure high-quality care. Responsibilities • Assist patients with activities of daily living (ADLs), including bathing, grooming, feeding, and dressing, • Support patient mobility including ambulation, transfers, and repositioning, • Provide hygiene care such as oral care, perineal care, and skin care, • Assist with feeding and monitor dietary intake and fluid restrictions, • Measure and record vital signs (blood pressure, pulse, temperature, respirations, pulse oximetry), • Monitor and document intake/output, including urine and stool collection, • Assist with catheter care and incontinence care, • Maintain patient safety using proper lifting techniques and equipment (Hoyer lift, transfer belts, wheelchairs), • Support pressure injury prevention through regular repositioning and skin assessments, • Assist with specimen collection, labeling, and transport, • Respond promptly to call lights and patient needs, • Maintain a clean and organized patient environment, including equipment sanitation, • Follow infection control protocols, PPE usage, and isolation precautions, • Report any changes in patient condition to nursing staff immediatelyRequired Qualifications, • Active Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) Certification, • BLS (Basic Life Support) certification required, • Experience in Long-Term Care (LTC) setting preferredRequired Skills, • Proficiency in patient care tasks such as:, • Ambulation, transfers, and repositioning, • Bed baths, showers, and hygiene care, • Feeding assistance and intake monitoring, • Vital signs measurement and documentation, • Catheter care and specimen collection, • Familiarity with medical equipment including hospital beds, wheelchairs, pulse oximeters, and stretchers, • Knowledge of infection control practices and PPE usage About Navitas Healthcare, LLC: It is a certified WBENC and one of the fastest-growing healthcare staffing firms in the US providing Medical, Clinical and Non-Clinical services to numerous hospitals.
