Job Description Location: Seattle, WA (Remote with local presence required) Work Setting/Territory: Remote; must be based in the Seattle metro area with responsibility for a key client relationship in Redmond Compensation: $123,000$172,000 base salary + quarterly bonuses (up to 30% of base/acceleration curve up to 2.5x) Benefits: Full medical, dental, vision, 401(k) with 50% match up to 8% Position Overview: Were seeking a driven Sales Director based in the Seattle area to support a high-profile global customer within the datacom sector. This is a strategic, customer-facing role focused on managing the full sales process while nurturing and expanding relationships within one of the worlds largest hyperscaler accounts. You will be part of a broader national sales structure and collaborate cross-functionally with product management, R&D, quality, and operations teams. This role is ideal for an experienced technical sales professional with a solid background in datacom, optical networking, or optoelectronicsespecially those who have supported hyperscaler clients and understand the rigor and pace of this environment. This person would be working with a sales specialist in the area. What Youll Do • Own the full sales process from prospecting to close for a major hyperscaler customer headquartered in Redmond, • Develop deep, strategic relationships with a global technology leader and serve as the primary commercial liaison, • Collaborate cross-functionally with engineering, product management, operations, R&D, and quality to deliver customized solutions, • Lead account strategy, new business development, and revenue growth across networking and materials segments, • Represent the company at trade shows, webinars, and customer visits, • Coordinate internal reporting, forecasting, and budgeting in alignment with corporate sales objectives, • Ensure compliance with company policies and applicable export control programs, • Travel up to 25%, primarily domestic, as needed to support the customer relationship What You Bring • 10+ years of B2B sales experience in datacom, optical communications, optoelectronics, or networking technologies, • Proven success supporting or selling to large hyperscalers (Microsoft, Google, Amazon, Meta, etc.), • Bachelors degree (preferably in Engineering, Computer Science, or another technical field), • Strong communication, organization, and interpersonal skills; comfortable working across time zones and departments, • Familiarity with customer requirements and operational standards in the datacom space, • Highly motivated and collaborative with a strategic mindset Bonus if you have: • Prior experience directly supporting Microsoft or other Tier 1 hyperscaler customers, • Background working with companies such as Microsoft, Cisco, Intel, Broadcom, IBM, Juniper, Arista, Marvell, or similar What You Get • The opportunity to lead and grow a high-impact customer relationship with one of the worlds most influential tech companies, • Collaboration with a seasoned leadership team and technical experts across multiple departments, • High visibility and influence within a global, innovation-driven organization, • Flexible remote work model with strong local and corporate support, • Competitive compensation and bonus structure tied to performance, • Comprehensive benefits and 401(k) matching plan
