Primary Duties and Responsibilities: • Ensure proper installation, repair, and maintenance of equipment, plumbing, and other finished surfaces of the hotel., • Anticipate maintenance needs, take initiative when required, and follow tasks through to completion., • Assist with the repair and maintenance of air conditioning units, PTACs, and HVAC systems as needed., • Assist with hotel security to minimize the risk of theft, crime, and other hazards., • Troubleshoot issues with all hotel systems, including but not limited to: Keys/Locks, PMS, Fire Alarm, Water Softeners, HVAC, F&B Equipment, Boilers, Water Heaters, Water Flow, Water Softeners, Laundry Equipment, Fire Alarm Systems, ANSUL Systems, Fire Sprinkler Systems, etc., • Monitor and maintain inventory of parts, supplies, and hotel-owned tools; order inventory as needed., • Maintain the exterior of the property by doing daily walks around the premises, removing and disposing of trash as needed., • Remove snow and spread ice melt in traffic areas to ensure safe walking paths for guests and employees.Other Duties and Expectations:, • Work closely with all departments using crystal clear communication., • Lead by example; encourage co-workers to always perform at the highest levels., • Ask for feedback from supervisors and provide feedback as needed; be open and willing to take directions and/or make changes to job performance as needed., • Engage guests at all opportunities to build a level of comfort between the guest and our property, instilling a “Home Away From Home” comfort during their stay., • Perform shuttle driver duties as needed., • Other duties as assigned.Qualifications and Requirements:, • 1 year experience in Maintenance or other related field required., • Specialized expertise in plumbing, electrical, painting, mechanical, carpentry, or related fields is a bonus., • Hotel experience preferred., • Must be able to lift and move objects of up to, or over, 40 lbs.Schedule (may vary):, • Weekday availability, • Weekend availability, • Afternoon/evening availability, • Holidays, • OvertimeIHG One Pass Perk:As a member of the IHG Family of brands, Holiday Inn KCI Airport/Atwell Suites KCI employees are eligible to book discounted stays at IHG-branded hotels around the world using the IHG One Pass Program! Job Description We are seeking a full-time HVAC Certified Maintenance Technician to work Monday through Friday from 8:00 to 5:00 pm. After training is complete you will be a part of the on-call rotational schedule. Our Starting pay ranges from $22.00 to $25.00 per hour based on your work experience, skills and whether you have your Type II or Universal EPA certification. If not, no worries we will invest in you and pay the cost of your exam and study materials. You are required to take the exam within 60 days and when you pass we will increase your rate of pay! The Maintenance Technician proactively and responsively performs technical and mechanical work for their designated location. The Maintenance Technician is responsible to ensure the physical aspects of the buildings, apartments, amenities, grounds, and common areas of the property meet standards for cleanliness, appearance, safety, functionality and resident appeal.
