Job Description: We are seeking a skilled PLM/CAD Support and Business Analyst to bridge the gap between our engineering users and technical systems. This role combines hands-on technical support with business analysis responsibilities, requiring someone who can understand complex engineering workflows, document requirements, and drive process improvements across our product lifecycle management and CAD environments. Key Responsibilities: • Provide front-line and advanced technical support for CATIA, NX, and Teamcenter users, troubleshooting software issues, licensing problems, integration conflicts, and workflow challenges, • Diagnose and resolve Teamcenter-specific issues including data loading problems, workflow errors, access control issues, revision management, and client integration failures, • Troubleshoot CAD-to-PLM integration issues, including dataset creation, file check-in/check-out problems, and attribute mapping errors, • Maintain and optimize PLM system configurations to support engineering processes, • Collaborate with IT and infrastructure teams to resolve system performance issues and implement upgrades, • Monitor system health, user access, and license utilization across CAD/PLM platforms, • Manage user accounts, roles, and access control lists (ACLs) in Teamcenter, • Work directly with engineering teams to understand current workflows and identify pain points in existing processes, • Document as-is and to-be business processes using industry-standard notation and tools, • Conduct stakeholder interviews and workshops to gather requirements for system enhancements and new implementations, • Translate business needs into clear, actionable technical requirements for development teams and vendors, • Analyze the impact of proposed changes on users, systems, and downstream processes, • Map engineering change management workflows and identify opportunities for automation, • Create and maintain comprehensive technical documentation including user guides, standard operating procedures, system configuration documentation, and troubleshooting guides, • Develop training materials tailored to different user groups and skill levels, • Document requirements specifications, functional designs, and business process models in Confluence, • Maintain a knowledge base of common issues, solutions, and best practices, • Create data dictionaries and attribute definitions for PLM business objects, • Design and execute comprehensive user acceptance testing (UAT) plans across DEV, UAT, and Production environments, • Coordinate UAT activities with end users, ensuring test scenarios cover real-world business processes, • Create detailed test cases, test scripts, and acceptance criteria for new functionality and process changes, • Validate system configurations, workflows, and integrations in DEV environment before promoting to UAT, • Facilitate UAT sessions with engineering teams, documenting feedback and defects, • Perform regression testing to ensure system updates don't negatively impact existing functionality, • Track defects and enhancement requests through resolution, working with vendors and IT teams, • Validate data migration results and system performance before production deployment, • Lead the rollout of new processes and methodologies to engineering teams, • Develop comprehensive change management plans including communication strategies, training schedules, and adoption metrics, • Conduct training sessions across multiple user groups to introduce new processes, system features, and best practices, • Organize and facilitate workshops to introduce process changes and gather user feedback, • Create and deliver role-based training for different user personas on new workflows and system capabilities, • Develop training materials including presentations, quick reference guides, and video tutorials for new processes, • Coordinate phased rollouts of new processes, starting with pilot groups before enterprise-wide deployment, • Monitor user adoption and identify resistance points, providing additional support where needed, • Collect and analyze user feedback during rollout to refine processes and training approach, • Establish metrics to measure process effectiveness and user adoption rates, • Track and manage user requests, issues, and enhancement requests using Jira, • Support PLM/CAD implementation projects by defining requirements, testing solutions, and coordinating user acceptance testing, • Facilitate change management activities including communication planning, training delivery, and user adoption initiatives, • Coordinate with vendors and consultants on system implementations and upgrades, • Participate in system testing including regression testing after patches and upgrades, • Support release management activities for Teamcenter customizations and configurations, • Manage deployment schedules across DEV, UAT, and Production environments, • Develop and deliver training programs for new users and refresher courses for existing users on CATIA, NX, and Teamcenter functionality, • Create training schedules that minimize disruption to engineering activities, • Conduct one-on-one coaching sessions for users requiring additional support, • Evaluate training effectiveness and continuously improve training content based on feedback, • Develop role-based training for different user personas (designers, engineers, managers, administrators), • Facilitate train-the-trainer sessions to build internal capability for ongoing user support, • Monitor and report on data quality metrics within Teamcenter, • Support data cleanup initiatives and enforce data governance policies, • Assist with BOM validation and engineering change order (ECO) processes, • Identify and resolve duplicate or orphaned data issues Required Qualifications Technical Skills • Demonstrated experience with CATIA V5/V6 or 3DEXPERIENCE, including understanding of core modeling workflows and common user challenges, • Working knowledge of Siemens NX, including familiarity with its interface, capabilities, and integration points, • Strong experience with Siemens Teamcenter, including understanding of data model, workflow management, change processes, and integration with CAD systems, • Experience troubleshooting Teamcenter client issues, server-side errors, and database-related problems, • Understanding of PLM concepts including item/revision management, BOM structures, effectivity, change management, and configuration management, • Proficiency with Atlassian tools including Confluence for documentation and Jira for issue tracking and project management, • Familiarity with SQL queries for data validation and troubleshooting, • Proven ability to map business processes using standard methodologies (BPMN, flowcharting, swimlane diagrams), • Strong requirements gathering and documentation skills, • Experience writing clear, concise technical documentation for both technical and non-technical audiences, • Ability to analyze complex workflows and identify opportunities for improvement, • Understanding of engineering change management and product development processes, • Demonstrated experience rolling out new processes and systems to user communities, • Strong facilitation skills for leading workshops, training sessions, and UAT activities, • Ability to create engaging training materials for diverse learning styles, • Experience with adult learning principles and instructional design, • Track record of successful user adoption through effective change management, • Excellent communication skills with the ability to explain technical concepts to diverse audiences, • Strong problem-solving abilities and analytical thinking, • Customer service orientation with patience and professionalism when working with frustrated users, • Ability to manage multiple priorities and work independently, • Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills, • Ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams including engineering, IT, and management, • Adaptability and flexibility when dealing with changing requirements or priorities, • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field, • Experience in aerospace, automotive, or manufacturing industries with regulated environments, • Familiarity with CAD data migration and translation tools, • Knowledge of scripting or automation tools (VBA, Python, ITK, or similar), • Experience with regulatory compliance requirements in engineering environments (FAA, EASA, ISO, AS9100) (an advantage), • Basic understanding of Teamcenter customization including business modeler, workflow designer, and preference management, • IIBA certification (CBAP, CCBA) or similar business analysis credentials (an advantage)., • Change management certification (an advantage), • Familiarity with Agile/Scrum methodologies, • Experience with other enterprise systems that integrate with PLM (ERP, MES, quality systems), • Knowledge of LOTAR or other long-term archival standards, • Bachelor's degree in relevant field or equivalent work experience, • 7+ years of experience in CAD/PLM support, business analysis, or related roles, • Demonstrated experience in technical training or user education, • Hands-on experience with Teamcenter administration or power user activities, • Proven track record of successful process implementations and system rollouts, • Experience conducting user acceptance testing across development lifecycle environments Work Environment This position works closely with engineering teams, IT staff, and external vendors. The role requires both independent work and collaborative activities, with occasional need for flexible hours during system implementations, upgrades, training sessions, or critical support situations.
