Job Description Job Summary: Palmetto General Hospital is seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist (CRNA) to join our Anesthesia Department. The CRNA will be responsible for the administration of anesthesia and anesthesia-related care in collaboration with surgeons, anesthesiologists, and other healthcare professionals. The ideal candidate will demonstrate sound clinical judgment, exceptional patient care, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment. Key Responsibilities: • Perform pre-anesthetic evaluations including medical history, physical examination, and assessment of diagnostic data., • Develop and implement an individualized anesthesia care plan., • Administer general, regional, and monitored anesthesia care for surgical, therapeutic, diagnostic, and obstetrical procedures., • Monitor patients' vital signs and adjust anesthetic levels accordingly during procedures., • Ensure patient safety and comfort throughout the perioperative process., • Provide post-anesthesia care, including monitoring and management of complications., • Maintain accurate and timely documentation in the medical record., • Respond to emergency situations with appropriate interventions, including airway management and resuscitation., • Participate in departmental meetings, quality improvement initiatives, and continuing education., • Education: Master's or Doctorate degree from an accredited nurse anesthesia program., • Licensure:, • Current Registered Nurse (RN) license and CRNA certification in Florida., • National Board of Certification and Recertification for Nurse Anesthetists (NBCRNA) certification., • Experience: Minimum of 5 years of clinical anesthesia experience preferred, but new graduates will be considered., • Strong clinical judgment and critical-thinking skills., • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills., • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a multidisciplinary environment., • Proficiency in electronic medical record (EMR) systems., • Hospital-based setting with rotating shifts, including days, evenings, nights, weekends, and holidays., • Must be able to stand for long periods and assist in emergency situations., • Competitive salary commensurate with experience, • Health, dental, and vision insurance, • Retirement plan options, • Paid time off and CME allowance Must clear background and drug test required.
