Were looking for a highly skilled L3 Systems Engineer to join our Connecticut team. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in an MSP environment, enjoys solving complex infrastructure challenges, and wants to work across modern cloud, security, and on-prem environments. Role Overview The L3 Microsoft Systems Engineer will be responsible for: • Designing, implementing, migrating, and supporting Microsoft server and Microsoft 365 environments, • Delivering infrastructure, disaster recovery, and security projects, • Providing advanced technical support and escalation support Key Responsibilities Infrastructure, Cloud & Projects • Plan and execute projects including:, • Server deployments and migrations, • Exchange / Microsoft 365 migrations, • Azure and hybrid infrastructure implementations, • Design, implement, and manage:, • Disaster Recovery solutions (Datto, Veeam, SaaS backup, BDR), • Azure / O365 environments, • Cybersecurity best-practice standards across client environments, • Act as Project Lead or Technical Lead on:, • Provide L2/L3 escalation support for:, • Servers, Microsoft 365, networks, endpoints, and security platforms, • Diagnose and resolve issues via phone, email, and ticketing system, • Track, document, and manage support requests according to SLA and ITIL practices, • Monitor ticket queues and escalate SLA risks where required, • Troubleshoot and support:, • LAN/WAN, switches, routers, firewalls, connectivity, endpoints, peripherals, • DNS, SPF, DKIM, DMARC, email systems and deliverability, • Plan and implement:, • Patch management, application deployments, service packs, • 3+ years in a progressive technical support / systems engineering role (5+ years preferred), • Recent hands-on experience (last 12–24 months) with:, • Server and Microsoft 365 / Exchange migrations, • Disaster recovery and backup solutions (Datto, Veeam, etc.), • Email security / spam filtering solutions, • Firewalls and security platforms, • Strong experience with:, • Windows Server, Microsoft 365, Azure, • PC/laptop deployment, troubleshooting, malware remediation, • Networking fundamentals (TCP/IP, DNS, routing, switching), • Proven ability to:, • Design and implement infrastructure solutions (Visio experience a plus), • Work across multiple industries (finance, medical, legal, real estate, non-profit, etc.), • Manage vendors, negotiate, and source solutions, • Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and documentation skills, • Excellent communication and customer-facing skills, • A+, Server+, Security+, Microsoft certifications (or similar), • Cybersecurity certifications highly advantageous, • Associates or Bachelors Degree in IT or related field, • Strong experience with:, • Windows Server, • Microsoft 365, • Azure, • Work with a high-performance global MSP team, • Exposure to enterprise and mid-market environments across many industries, • Opportunity to work on:, • Cloud, security, automation, and transformation projects, • Career growth in a company focused on innovation, AI, and modern IT services, • A culture that genuinely supports your personal and professional goals
