Job Description Job Title: Accounting Manager Location: Philadelphia, PA Compensation: $75,000 – $85,000 annual salary Employment Type: Direct Hire Benefits: Medical, Dental, Vision, 401k, PTO/Sick Time Overview: Seeking an Accounting Manager to oversee day-to-day accounting operations within a project-driven, fast-growing environment. This role will manage core accounting functions, support financial reporting, and partner closely with project, operations, and executive leadership to ensure accurate, timely financial data. Responsibilities: • Oversee daily accounting operations including GL management, AP/AR oversight, month-end close, and account reconciliations., • Prepare, review, and analyze monthly financial statements, project financials, and variance reports., • Maintain and strengthen internal controls, accounting policies, and process improvements., • Partner with Project Managers and Operations to ensure accurate job costing, revenue recognition, and project reporting., • Manage cash flow reporting, budgeting support, and forecasting activities., • Coordinate annual audit activities and ensure compliance with accounting standards., • Supervise and mentor accounting staff, providing training, guidance, and workload prioritization., • 6+ years of progressive accounting experience, with supervisory or team-lead experience preferred., • Experience in construction, energy efficiency, engineering, or project-based industries strongly preferred., • Strong understanding of job costing, WIP, revenue recognition, and project accounting concepts., • ERP experience required; SAP ByDesign experience highly preferred., • Bachelor’s in Accounting or Finance preferred, • Excellent analytical skills, attention to detail, and ability to thrive in a fast-paced, evolving environment., • Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate across departments and with leadership.
