Job Description Job Description * Responsible for collaborating with FCS and Residential staff in overseeing all aspects of operation for the Crisis Respite Transition Program (CRTP). * The CRTP provides clinical and residential supports for people with I/DD experiencing psychiatric or other behavioral health crises. * The CC fulfills these responsibilities through the activities of the staff he/she supervises and therefore, primary responsibilities include the training and oversight of direct care staff in appropriate delivery of qualitative person-centered, trauma informed care and treatment and consistent adherence to safety and other policies and procedures. * The CC acts as a role model for DSPs in engaging with the people they support and with related stakeholders to work towards mitigating crisis-related factors and facilitating a path to a safe and stable return to the community. * The CC identifies unmet needs of the people supported in the house and gaps in programming, communicates with appropriate parties, and follows up on concerns. * The CRTP provides trauma informed clinical and residential supports for people with I/DD experiencing psychiatric or other behavioral health crises. * Assists with the interviewing, hiring, training and oversight of direct care staff in the provision of clinically based care for the emotional, physical and personal well-being of the individuals and ensuring a nurturing, structured and protective environment * Ensures ongoing compliance and quality assurance with State and Federal regulations applicable to operation of facility to which he/she is assigned. * Provides direct supervision and guidance to all employees assigned to the CRTP. Completes mandated written evaluations of staff in residence, as well as oversees any disciplinary actions needed to address performance problems by staff. * Ensures staff assigned to the respite house are registered for all required and appropriate training. * Provides service coverage in accordance with staff scheduling established by senior management, as well as provides ad hoc coverage in cases where scheduling may change due to direct staff shortages or emerging needs of residents. * Assumes accountability for smooth operations of the respite house, including adherence to funder's and agency's policies and procedures related to house and vehicle maintenance, fire safety, and residents' and personnel files. * Collaborates with clinical and management team in planning each person's individualized program of services and care, covering both daily and longer-term needs, and ensuring delivery of services and care by direct care staff that addresses each person's interests, behavioral health needs, preferences, strengths and capabilities. * Participates in comprehensive service planning activities with outside agencies, as applicable, for each person at the respite site. * Monitors direct care activities related to medical services, including ongoing maintenance of electronic and paper medical records, scheduling and attending of medical appointments, appropriate oversight for individuals' self-administration of medication with support, and request for referrals * Ensures each person's basic needs are met, including adequate supply of food, clothing, personal hygiene items, and any other personal belongings necessary to meet individuals' needs within the respite house. * Ensures nutritional needs of residents are fully met. * Ensures recreation and leisure activities are planned and coordinated (staffing, funds, transportation) in accordance with each person's interests. * In conjunction with the Clinical team, reviews assessments, data collection and other relevant information, formulates and recommends new interventions directed towards enhancing the quality of each resident's life. * Participates in clinical supervision and trainings on topics including trauma informed care, supporting people with challenging behaviors, and supporting people with severe autism. * In collaboration with all staff at the respite house, formulates and recommends new ideas and outcomes directed towards enhancing quality of each person's life. * Attends and successfully completes mandated and skills development training courses, as assigned, as well as provides training to staff at residence, as needed. * Conducts additional duties, as needed. Qualifications * Master's level clinician with at least 3 years of related experience required. Licensed mental health clinician preferred. * Experience in supervising staff a plus. * Must be knowledgeable in the field of developmental and intellectual disabilities and have experience working with people with both I/DD and psychiatric disorders. * Must have ability to plan, organize, develop, and implement program policies and procedures in a timely and consistent manner. * Ability to be patient, enthusiastic and confident when interacting with people supported, understanding the psychosocial and cognitive levels at which they are functioning. * Ability to deal diplomatically with personnel, people supported , family members, visitors, government agencies and the general public. * Must possess ability to make independent decisions and handle stressful situations when circumstances warrant. * Valid Tri-State New York State driver's license, in good standing and safe driving history, with no or infrequent violations/suspensions/revocations preferred. Job Description POSITION SUMMARY: Under the direction of the AVP, MOUD Services, the Clinical Coordinator oversees all aspects of clinical and programmatic operations within the Mobile Medication Unit (MMU). This role ensures effective coordination of services, quality improvement, and compliance with regulatory and VIP Community Services standards. The Clinical Coordinator supervises the Case Manager and Peer, oversees data collection and program reporting, maintains partnerships, and provides direct clinical coverage when necessary. POSITION DESCRIPTION: · Coordinate clinical and operational functions of the Mobile Medication Unit (MMU). · Supervise Case Manager and Peer staff, providing supervision, ongoing training, coaching, and performance evaluation. · Communicate effectively with the MMU driver, nursing staff, and security to ensure safe and efficient operations. · Lead coordination with internal and external partners to expand access to services and maintain referral networks. · Oversee intake, treatment planning, documentation, and data management to ensure compliance with OASAS, CARF, SAMHSA, DEA and VIP standards. · Monitor quality improvement initiatives, review data trends, and prepare performance reports to inform program decision making · Support program expansion efforts, including identifying new service areas and building relationships with community stakeholders. · Assist with program development, implementation of new initiatives, and onboarding of new staff. · Provide direct clinical, case management and crisis intervention coverage during staff absences or high-demand periods. · Facilitate multidisciplinary meetings and ensure collaboration among MMU staff and external providers. · Maintain client confidentiality and uphold ethical and professional standards of care. Other minor duties may be assigned.: • Coordinate and oversee dispatch activities for a large group of routes spanning multiple sites, ensuring timely and accurate route execution., • Serve as the primary point of contact for all Drivers as well as other colleagues as our depots and transfer stations., • Analyze route data to identify opportunities for optimization, cost reduction, and service improvement., • Collaborate with Operation Site Managers and customer service to resolve service disruptions and ensure alignment on priorities., • Ensure Drivers and trucks are being utilized to their full potential., • Manage daily truck activity to ensure driver productivity is commensurate with hours worked., • Set up crew sheets and notify all employees of their schedules., • Continuously monitor hours worked and ensure DOT compliance for Drivers., • Continuously monitor Driver performance and provide coaching as well as discipline as necessary., • Ensure compliance with safety policies and protocols as well as federal, state and local regulations., • Perform routine inspections on the trucks and equipment to ensure proper care and routine maintenance., • Review Driver requests for container switches or repairs and enter service tickets into the company database., • Ensure all accidents and injuries are thoroughly documented and distribute reports to the Safety and Risk teams for follow up., • Prepare and Deliver Regular Reports to Senior Management., • Field calls from customer service and handle appropriately., • If call is related to service not performed on a specific site address by speaking with the driver., • Monitor dispatch mailbox and handle requests appropriately., • Monitor system for missed pick ups and disposition them within 60 minutes., • Monitor system for driver progress, comments, skips, extras., • Conduct employee check-in procedure: inspect DVIR for completion, inspect route coversheet for completion of all necessary fields, inspect dump tickets being received, check route has been appropriately closed in the system., • Reschedule any customers that were blocked., • Tag any extra pick-ups in the system, follow-up with exceptions, stop services, missed stops, on call work orders and review pictures., • Close out outstanding tickets in the system, • Act on loaded truck list from end of day., • Monitor the call out line and adjust route and scheduling as necessary., • Coordinate with other sites for equipment when necessary., • Monitor and manage idle time., • Ensure accurate geocoding of stops., • Manage tablet inventory and ensure tablet use consistently across all routes, • Timely and accurate service alert notifications to customers., • Optimize driver assignments to maximize efficiency and minimize overtime., • Respond appropriately to vehicle breakdowns, accidents, or other field emergencies. Other minor duties may be assigned.: • Coordinate and oversee dispatch activities for a large group of routes spanning multiple sites, ensuring timely and accurate route execution., • Serve as the primary point of contact for all Drivers as well as other colleagues as our depots and transfer stations., • Analyze route data to identify opportunities for optimization, cost reduction, and service improvement., • Collaborate with Operation Site Managers and customer service to resolve service disruptions and ensure alignment on priorities., • Ensure Drivers and trucks are being utilized to their full potential., • Manage daily truck activity to ensure driver productivity is commensurate with hours worked., • Set up crew sheets and notify all employees of their schedules., • Continuously monitor hours worked and ensure DOT compliance for Drivers., • Continuously monitor Driver performance and provide coaching as well as discipline as necessary., • Ensure compliance with safety policies and protocols as well as federal, state and local regulations., • Perform routine inspections on the trucks and equipment to ensure proper care and routine maintenance., • Review Driver requests for container switches or repairs and enter service tickets into the company database., • Ensure all accidents and injuries are thoroughly documented and distribute reports to the Safety and Risk teams for follow up., • Prepare and Deliver Regular Reports to Senior Management., • Field calls from customer service and handle appropriately., • If call is related to service not performed on a specific site address by speaking with the driver., • Monitor dispatch mailbox and handle requests appropriately., • Monitor system for missed pick ups and disposition them within 60 minutes., • Monitor system for driver progress, comments, skips, extras., • Conduct employee check-in procedure: inspect DVIR for completion, inspect route coversheet for completion of all necessary fields, inspect dump tickets being received, check route has been appropriately closed in the system., • Reschedule any customers that were blocked., • Tag any extra pick-ups in the system, follow-up with exceptions, stop services, missed stops, on call work orders and review pictures., • Close out outstanding tickets in the system, • Act on loaded truck list from end of day., • Monitor the call out line and adjust route and scheduling as necessary., • Coordinate with other sites for equipment when necessary., • Monitor and manage idle time., • Ensure accurate geocoding of stops., • Manage tablet inventory and ensure tablet use consistently across all routes, • Timely and accurate service alert notifications to customers., • Optimize driver assignments to maximize efficiency and minimize overtime., • Respond appropriately to vehicle breakdowns, accidents, or other field emergencies. Requirements and Qualifications::, • 3-8 years of Dispatching experience., • Completion of relevant undergraduate degree or certificate program., • Excellent written and verbal communication skills., • Ability to remain calm and focused under pressure., • Demonstrated ability to work independently., • Strong organization and time management skills., • Demonstrated commitment to workplace safety., • Knowledge of applicable traffic, transportation, and other laws and regulations., • Intermediate to excellent computer skills, including Microsoft Excel., • Defensive Driving (Knowledge of Smith System)., • Basic understanding of vehicle operations and limitations., • May require occasional field visits to understand route challenges., • May require early morning, evening, or weekend hours based on operational needs., • Fluency in Spanish preferred not required., • Experience from the waste management, transportation, or related industry.
