American Traveler is seeking a travel nurse RN Telemetry for a travel nursing job in Seattle, Washington. Job Description & Requirements • Specialty: Telemetry, • Discipline: RN, • Start Date: 06/01/2026, • Duration: 13 weeks, • 36 hours per week, • Shift: 12 hours, nights, • Employment Type: Travel Assignment Overview • Shift: Nights, 3x12hrs, • Hours: 36 hrs/wk, • Start Date: Jun 1, 2026, • Length: 13 weeks, • Surgical Cardiac Telemetry Unit in a hospital setting, • Patient population includes myocardial infarction (rule-out MI), primary arrhythmias, pre/post open-heart surgery, vascular surgery, coronary artery disease, heart failure, pre/post cath lab (with or without interventions), stroke patients with cardiac involvement, and specialized structural heart patients (VAD, TAVR, etc.), • Nurse-to-patient ratio is 1:4, with a possible ratio of 1:5 at midnight, • Procedures and skills utilized include: breathing treatments, chest tube setup/care, CPAP/BiPAP, trach care, blood/blood products administration, cardioversion/defibrillation, epicardial pacer management, LVAD management, open heart post-op care (24–28 hours), and telemetry/dysrhythmia interpretation and management, • EMR: Epic (required), • Night shift: 3x12-hour shifts, 19:00–07:30, • Every other weekend required, • Floating required to like units within the state; travelers must be flexibleRequirements, • Active WA RN license or valid compact RN license currently in hand, • Current certifications required: BLS, ACLS, and NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS), • Minimum 2 years of telemetry experience required, • Surgical telemetry experience required, including open heart surgery and vascular (groin/radial band management), • Strong IV skills required, • Experience with VAD and TAVR is a plus, • Epic EMR experience required, • Minimum of 2 supervisory references covering 1 year of employment within the last 3 years in a comparable specialty/setting, • SSN and DOB required for considerationAdditional Information, • First-time travelers will not be considered for this position, • Former permanent staff at any Swedish facility must have been separated for at least 3 months before returning as a traveler, and must reside more than 50 miles from the facility, • Former permanent staff from other Providence facilities (non-Swedish) are eligible after a 3-month separation, • Minimal RTO is strongly preferred; excessive RTO requests may significantly impact candidacy With thousands of travel nursing and allied jobs nationwide, our attentive and approachable recruiters find positions that align perfectly with your career aspirations and personal requirements.
