Job DescriptionLitigation Attorney Litigation Attorney Position Overview We are seeking a detail-oriented Litigation Attorney to manage a diverse caseload from intake through resolution. The successful candidate will represent clients in commercial and civil litigation matters, handle motion practice, draft and respond to pleadings, conduct legal research and discovery, prepare for trial, and communicate effectively with clients and opposing counsel. This role requires strong legal analysis, persuasive writing, and courtroom advocacy skills to achieve favorable outcomes for clients. Key Responsibilities • Manage a docket of civil and commercial litigation matters from intake through resolution, including settlement negotiations and trial., • Draft, review, and file pleadings, motions, briefs, and other court submissions with precision and attention to procedural rules., • Conduct thorough legal research and prepare memoranda analyzing statutes, case law, and procedural issues to inform litigation strategy., • Lead discovery efforts: prepare and respond to document requests, interrogatories, subpoenas, and coordinate depositions., • Prepare witnesses, exhibits, and strategy for depositions, hearings, and trials; assist with trial preparation, including demonstratives and witness outlines., • Advocate for clients in court appearances, motion hearings, and status conferences; present oral arguments when necessary., • Communicate clearly and professionally with clients, opposing counsel, court personnel, and third parties to manage expectations and advance case objectives., • Collaborate with colleagues on case strategy, develop legal theories, and contribute to firm-wide best practices for litigation., • Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school and admission to the WSBA., • Minimum of 3 years of litigation experience, preferably with commercial litigation background., • Proven experience drafting motions, briefs, pleadings, and other substantive court documents., • Demonstrated courtroom experience, including hearings, depositions, and trial preparation., • Strong legal research and analytical skills, with proficiency in online research tools (e.g., Westlaw, LexisNexis)., • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including client communication and oral advocacy., • Familiarity with motion practice, discovery processes, and trial procedures., • Ability to manage multiple matters, prioritize deadlines, and maintain meticulous attention to detail., • Medical, dental, vision, • Life insurance, • Matching 401(k) contribution up to 4% of your voluntary contribution, • Fully paid transit pass or parking subsidy, • Paid time off (PTO), • Objective and subjective monthly and annual bonuses. - For this position, you must be currently authorized to work in the United States without the need for sponsorship for a non-immigrant visa.
