Job Description Job Title: Nephrology Nurse Practitioner (NP) Location: New Windsor, NY Job Type: Full-Time Salary: $135,000–$155,000 per year (Base salary $150,000 plus potential $5,000 bonus, based on experience.) Job Description We are seeking an experienced Nephrology Nurse Practitioner (NP) to join a well-established nephrology practice in New Windsor, NY. This position offers the opportunity to provide comprehensive outpatient nephrology care while also participating in inpatient consultations, hospital rounding, and dialysis patient management. The ideal candidate will have experience managing patients with chronic kidney disease, hypertension, electrolyte disorders, and dialysis care in a collaborative, patient-focused environment. Responsibilities • Provide comprehensive outpatient nephrology care, including evaluation and management of chronic kidney disease (CKD), hypertension, electrolyte disorders, and other renal conditions., • Perform inpatient nephrology consultations and hospital rounding., • Conduct daily dialysis rounding for acute and chronic dialysis patients., • Order, interpret, and evaluate laboratory tests, imaging studies, and diagnostic results., • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans., • Collaborate with nephrologists, dialysis staff, and multidisciplinary healthcare teams., • Educate patients and families regarding kidney disease management, treatment options, dietary modifications, and preventive care., • Maintain accurate and timely electronic medical records (EMR)., • Participate in quality improvement initiatives and ensure continuity of patient care. Qualifications Required • Master's or Doctoral degree in Nursing from an accredited Nurse Practitioner program., • Current New York State Nurse Practitioner license., • National NP certification (ANCC or AANP)., • Current DEA registration., • Minimum 2 years of nephrology experience., • Experience providing both outpatient and inpatient nephrology care., • Knowledge of dialysis management and renal treatment protocols., • Strong clinical assessment, diagnostic, and communication skills., • Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team. Preferred • Experience with hospital rounding and dialysis management., • Familiarity with electronic medical record (EMR) systems., • Current BLS and ACLS certifications. Compensation & Benefits Salary: $135,000–$155,000 annually (Base salary $150,000 with potential $5,000 bonus based on experience.)
