What will I do? The Attending Staff Physician serves as the attending of record for assigned residents, guiding their overall medical care. In this role, you coordinate and oversee treatment for residents in long-term care and short-term rehabilitation, helping ensure care stays consistent, well-managed, and tailored to what each person needs. You're part of an interdisciplinary care team, collaborating closely with residents, their families, staff, and outside providers or services. The goal is straightforward: deliver thoughtful, person-centered care that supports improved outcomes. This position reports directly to the Vice President of Medical Services / Chief Medical Officer. What do I need for this role? • Doctor of allopathic or osteopathic medicine., • License to practice medicine in New York State., • Board Certified in family medicine or internal medicine., • Minimum of two (2) years' experience working as part of an interdisciplinary care team or fellowship training in geriatrics or hospice and palliative medicine., • Preference: Added qualifications and/or board certification in geriatrics and/or hospice and palliative medicine., • Preference: Certified Medical Director (CMD) Certification by the Post-Acute and Long-Term Care Medical Association.
