BronxWorks has provided homeless outreach in the Bronx via contracts with the NYC Department of Homeless Services since 1995. Our outreach team provides mobile case management services to a caseload of over 400 chronically street homeless adults, with the ultimate goal of ending their homelessness. The Clinical Coordinator directly supervises the team’s case management staff and works with the Program Director to administer and sustain the program. We provide intensive support and services to 3,500+ survivors and children every year and reach 10,000+ community members through community events and preventive education workshops. We are dedicated to developing innovative programs that meet the complex needs of our diverse community and that align with our organizational values. Moriviv Residential Program is a 51 bed scattered site safe dwelling. The goal of this program is to provide short term, emergency shelter for people fleeing domestic violence. Program staff work with each participant to develop an individualized action plan that connects them to support services and helps them secure permanent housing. Supportive services include: counseling, support groups, case management, childrens services, referrals for educational/vocational facilities, job preparation and health promotion for women and children. The Program Manager is responsible for the overall daily operations of the program and the safe dwellings. In addition to acting as VIPs primary coordinator to assure that all efforts are fully met and exceed contractual obligations (programmatic and administrative) and direct the day-to-day activities of risk management, safety/security, maintenance and client move-in/turn-over. The Program Manager is responsible for ensuring 24/7 services to all program participants and may also be called upon for late night and weekend assistance.
