Job Description About the Role We’re an established residential construction company specializing in Solar, Battery, Roofing, and Home improvements, and we’re looking for a high-level Project Manager / Material Supply Manager to run projects from start to finish. This role is for someone who can own the entire process — from planning and permitting to materials and execution — while keeping projects on time, on budget, and built right. If you’re organized, detail-oriented, and thrive in a fast-paced environment with real responsibility, you’ll do well here. What You’ll Be Responsible For Project Management (Solar + Battery + Roofing + Home Improvement) • Manage multiple residential projects simultaneously, • Oversee timelines, crews, and installation schedules, • Coordinate across departments (sales, design, install, office), • Handle procurement of materials (solar + battery equipment, roofing materials, electrical components, etc.), • Maintain strong relationships with vendors and suppliers, • Ensure materials are delivered accurately and on time, • Review solar and construction plan sets (electrical + structural), • Verify compliance with NEC, AHJ, and local building/fire codes, • Confirm correct sizing for conduit, wiring, breakers, and components, • Track job costs, especially materials, • Identify cost-saving opportunities, • Ensure installations meet company and industry standards, • Lead install crew, subcontractors, techs (6–15 members across projects), • Communicate clearly with crews, vendors, and internal staff, • Provide updates on project and material status ✅ Must-Have Qualifications • 2+ years of Solar + Battery project management experience, • At least 1 year of Roof, Home Improvement project management experience, • Preferably experience in residential construction, • Strong understanding of electrical systems or building plans (THIS IS CRITICAL), • Ability to manage multiple jobs at once, • Strong problem-solving and organizational skills, • Comfortable working in a fast-paced, high-accountability environment Requirements • Must live within 30 minutes of Simi Valley, • Must be able to work in person, • Comfortable wearing multiple hats (projects, materials, coordination), • Valid Driver's License with a minimum of 5 years of clean driving record, • Forklift Certification, • Bilingual in English and Spanish Compensation & Perks • $25–$35/hour (DOE), • Full-time role, • 4-day workweek (yes, really), • Health benefits after 90 days Why This Role Stands Out • Work across solar + battery + roofing + full home improvements(not just one niche), • Real ownership — not a “paper PM” role, • Growing company with long-term opportunity, • Tight team, no corporate layers Company DescriptionAt Next Door Home Upgrades, our mission is simple: help homeowners save money while improving the way they power and live in their homes.
