Job DescriptionSr. Commercial Real Estate Transactional Attorney Senior Commercial Real Estate Transactional Attorney Position Overview We are seeking a Senior Commercial Real Estate Transactional Attorney to lead and manage complex commercial real estate transactions. The role focuses on providing strategic legal advice, drafting and negotiating purchase and sale agreements, leases, financing documents, and related transaction documentation. The ideal candidate will have deep expertise in commercial real estate purchases, sales, leasing and asset management, with a practical business-oriented approach to risk allocation and deal execution. Key Responsibilities • Lead and manage a portfolio of commercial real estate transactions including acquisitions, dispositions, financings, and restructurings., • Draft, review and negotiate purchase and sale agreements, letters of intent, commercial leases (office, retail, industrial, and mixed-use), easements, and other property agreements., • Advise clients and internal stakeholders on due diligence matters, title issues, zoning, land use, environmental liabilities, and risk mitigation strategies., • Coordinate and oversee third-party vendors and service providers including title companies, surveyors, environmental consultants, and closing agents., • Structure and negotiate complex deal terms, including joint venture agreements, development agreements, and property management contracts., • Provide legal guidance on property management matters, lease administration, tenant disputes, and enforcement of lease rights., • Prepare and review financing documents, coordinate with lenders and borrowers, and address lender requirements and covenants., • Manage closing processes, ensure compliance with legal and regulatory requirements, and supervise post-closing transition and documentation., • Mentor and supervise junior attorneys and paralegals, lead training on best practices and standard transaction documents, and contribute to process improvements., • J.D. from an accredited law school, • Barred in CA, • 7+ years of experience practicing commercial real estate transactional law, • Proven track record handling commercial real estate purchases, sales, leasing, and property management matters., • Deep knowledge of commercial leasing (office, retail, industrial), title and survey review, zoning and land use, and real estate finance documentation., • Strong drafting and negotiation skills with attention to detail and practical risk assessment abilities., • Experience managing complex transactions and coordinating multi-disciplinary closing teams., • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to explain legal issues to non-lawyers and build consensus across stakeholders., • Demonstrated leadership and mentoring experience, with the ability to manage workload and supervise junior staff., • Familiarity with relevant local, state, and federal regulations, and experience with environmental and land-use due diligence preferred., • Blue shield PPO premium, • Guardian Dental, • VSP Eye, • Long Term Disability, • 401k after 12 months, firm typically matches 3-7% depends on third party administrator testing, • 1600 Billable Hour Requirement - For this position, you must be currently authorized to work in the United States without the need for sponsorship for a non-immigrant visa.
