Job Description JOB DESCRIPTION: Barista Employee Status (Circle one) Full Time Part Time FLSA Status (Circle one) Exempt Non-exempt Mission Hospitality service; responds to customer’s need and tries to exceed expectations at all times. The barista is responsible for maintaining a quality experience within their store. Position Objectives and Expectations • A barista is responsible for assisting the store manager on the bar to craft high quality drinks for our customers • Fill in as cashier and other duties as needed, • Provide fast, friendly, and efficient service, • Ensure quality experience for both customers and team members while completeing Regular barista duties Personal Success Characteristics • A friendly and consistent demeanor with fellow employees & guests. • Effective communication skills, • Ability to acknowledge and fix mistakes quickly, • Effective time management Reports To: Store Manager DUTIES DESCRIPTION – Barista As a barista, you will be assisting the store manager in executing our high quality drink menu and be the final face of the customer interaction. This may include running drinks and food, cleaning, and customer service as needed. A Barista is responsible for the following Customer Service and Accountability • Greets every customer with a friendly smile and positive attitude, • Is honest and promotes the values and mission of Café Ficelle, • Accurately processes transactions, • Provides excellent customer service and builds rapport with customers by learning names and favorite drinks • Responds appropriately to customer concerns, • Maintains calm demeanor during periods of high volume JOB DESCRIPTION: Barista • Communicates customer complaints to management, • Adheres to appropriate standards of behavior in the workplace and to behaviors outlined in the Employee Handbook • Ensures accountability of company funds and inventory, • Maintain a clean, organized and stocked environment, • Perform opening and closing procedures, • Promotes and practices safe work habits’, and reports potential safety hazards, operational inconsistencies and team member incidents to the store manager. Product Quality • Maintains the highest level of standards for all product preparation including proper grinding of coffee beans and top quality espresso shots • Adheres to all Company recipes and measurements, • Ensures that employees are educated on menu products and services, • Keeps work area clean and organized so that co-workers and management can locate resources and products as needed Teamwork and initiative • Demonstrates the ability to lead, and use effective communication, • Creates a positive learning environment by providing clear, specific, timely, and respectful coaching and feedback to employees on shift.
