Job Description Job Summary: The Trainer II is responsible for coordinating and implementing online training and education to meet the ongoing and future needs of Oakland Community Health Network (OCHN), its provider network, and the community at large. Identifies and formulates training program objectives that align with OCHN’s principals’ practices and strategic plan. Serves as a subject matter expert and/or collaborates with other subject matter experts to develop online training curricula and content. Ensures training meets the standards and competencies set forth by local, state, and federal regulations, and evidence-based curricula. Coordinates and assists to maintain the online training content housed within the Docebo LMS. Responds to user questions, issues, and concerns in a prompt and professional manner. Essential Functions: Under direction: • Develop online training courses for OCHN staff, the provider network, and the community at large using Articulate 360 or similar course design software., • Maintain the Docebo LMS course availability for all users. Provide ongoing user training., • Ensure accurate user profiles, provides ongoing support and problem-solving to all online learners., • Creates training programs to address gaps in network., • Prepares and creates learning materials., • Conduct surveys and evaluations to gauge the effectiveness of training., • Research new training and learning methods., • Attend education conferences and meetings to continue education and professional development as needed., • Serve as training subject matter expert on a variety of behavioral health topics., • Review and maintain CEU applications and records for online learning while ensuring that OCHN is in compliance with being an Approved Continuing Education provider for the Michigan Social Work Continuing Education Collaborative. In addition to verifying that training content is applicable/qualifies for Continuing Education Units., • Develop specific training upon request or as needed to inform various groups including persons served, all employees in the OCHN delivery system, parents, guardians, etc., • Review and revise online training materials as needed, including manuals, videos, or other visual aids., • Conducts process and outcome evaluations of online training programs., • Supports the Training Team in the functions of the department. Education: • Required: Bachelor's Degree with concentration in a Behavioral health field such as Social Work (BSW), Psychology, Human Service, and Health Education., • Have at least two (2) years of experience in developing online learning, preferably in a social science or behavioral health field., • Have at least (2) years of work experience teaching professional coursework, including online courses., • Detailed knowledge of the public mental health system and how services are received in the community mental health sector of that system., • Knowledge of the Michigan Mental Health code, Administrative Rules, public mental health policies and procedures., • Knowledge and experience of Microsoft Office, Microsoft 365, Adobe Acrobat., • Ability to use online content development software such as Articulate 360., • Effective interpersonal skills., • Demonstrate ability to work effectively in a team environment., • Must be able to interface professionally with individuals served, coworkers, , contracted/sub-contracted employees, and the public., • Must be able to work with multiple timelines to achieve statutory compliance., • Must possess excellent report writing skills and have experience with computer operations., • Public Speaking – can project voice and engage the audience., • Basic understanding of the behavioral health / mental health system and the individuals receiving services., • Manages time allotted for training., • Answers questions from users effectively, • Monitors the Chat and posts additional information in the chat during virtual training., • Strong organizational skills., • Effective oral and written communication along with Effective personal and professional engagement skills., • Follows through on email requests or assigned tasks., • Proficient in Microsoft Office 365 Suite including PowerPoint, Microsoft Office, Outlook and Teams., • Comfortable talking in front of a group as well as one-on-one with individuals., • Able to give and receive feedback effectively, • Is competent with adult learning methodologies and engages the audience in understanding materials (i.e. using visual aids, able to recognize when a group or individual is lost and needs more attention)., • Promotes positive outcomes with training. Assists training participants in achieving success in their learning., • Demonstrates a positive “can do” demeanor and has fun and gains energy from working with others, • Engages in active listening., • Serve as community resource person., • Demonstrates understanding, sensitivity, and empathy towards others’ experiences, particularly those from marginalized or underrepresented groups (IDEA).
