Position Summary Seeking talented, experienced stage manager. No professional experience required. Student stage managers enrolled in undergraduate- or graduate-level training will be enthusiastically considered. Must have excellent organizational and leadership skills, a strong understanding of the responsibilities of a stage manager, an interest in educational theatre, and the ability to pass a background check. Essential Duties and Responsibilities (include, but are not limited to, the following) • Participation in all auditions, rehearsals, and performances, • Management and care of the production script, where the stage manager records all blocking and cues, • Record rehearsal notes, line notes, cues, and blocking, • Help to maintain order and timeliness during rehearsals and performances, • Attend and facilitate production meetings as necessary, • Disseminate the rehearsal schedule and rehearsal/performance reports to the cast, producer, and production staff, • Call all cues during the run of performances, • Oversee the proper care and management of the stage, rehearsal space, props, costumes, set pieces, stagehands, and any other production elements, • Excellent organizational & leadership skills, • Strong understanding of stage management, • Interest in educational theatre, • From February 26, 2026 through May 16, 2026, collaborate with the Arts Department Producer and the director of the play to stage manage the middle-school musical, Roald Dahl’s MATILDA the Musical Jr., • Attend production meetings as mutually agreed upon by the director of the play, the Arts Department Producer, and all relevant design personnel, • When applicable, manage and guide the training of student assistant stage managers, providing detailed, effective instruction and delegating responsibilities as appropriate, • At all times, strive to ensure and cultivate safe, equitable, inclusive, pleasant, and professional educational and working environments for the students and production staff, • In close collaboration with the director of the play, help to maintain order and timeliness during rehearsals and performances, • Create, manage, and maintain the production script, recording all blocking and cues, • Record all rehearsal notes, line notes, cues, and blocking, • Disseminate the production schedule and rehearsal/performance reports to the cast, director, Arts Department Producer, and production staff, • In coordination with the Arts Department Producer, director, and designers, oversee the proper care and management of the stage, rehearsal space, props, costumes, set pieces, stagehands, and any other production elements, • Issue calls to the actors and run crew prior to and during performances and facilitate communication between the front- and back-of-house staff, • Call all cues during the run of performances 0iwIVIBRXK
