Job DescriptionJob Title: Quality Assurance TechnicianJob Description The Quality Assurance Technician ensures that the plant adheres to all food regulatory requirements, identifying and reporting any deficiencies or practices that could compromise food safety, quality, and defense. Responsibilities • Monitor production conditions, specifications, process controls, and tracking controls., • Maintain wash line concentrations., • Implement and audit a system to verify checks on production control forms, ensuring compliance with all program requirements., • Collect environmental swabs, air sampling dishes, and lab retain samples., • Monitor all Critical Control Points (CCPs) on-line and take corrective actions as necessary, assisting in determining root causes and developing preventative action plans., • Check pH levels, temperature, and brix of each juice batch to ensure they meet product specifications., • Conduct Facility Operation Inspections and adhere to Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs)., • Perform Standard Sanitation Operational Procedures (SSOPs) verification and ATP swabs., • Track non-conforming products and their dispositions., • Perform Pre-Operational inspections of all production/bottling equipment and facility., • Calibrate equipment and make necessary adjustments., • Assist with testing food products to ensure compliance with standards and regulations., • Conduct inventory checks, including ATP swabs, charts, and forms., • Complete and enter all pallet tags and CCP forms into the database for production and bottling., • Record cycles and verify all High Pressure Processing (HPP) settings and information are correct., • Conduct metal mesh and magnet inspections., • Verify production lot codes, labels, mold numbers, and packaging meet product specifications., • Perform lab duties as necessary., • Verify shipping and receiving processes., • Adhere to SOP, SSOP, GMP, and HACCP guidelines when in the plant., • Maintain regular and reliable attendance.Essential Skills, • Excel data entry, • Multitasking, • Quality assurance, • Attention to detail, • Strong communication skills, • Knowledge of GMP and FDA regulations, • Inspection skillsAdditional Skills & Qualifications, • 1-2 years of Quality Assurance experience preferred, • 1-2 years of food industry experience preferred, • Knowledge of food safety regulations is preferred, • Excellent oral, written, and presentation communication skills required, • Spanish language skills are a plus, • Strong leadership, computer, and critical thinking skills, • Ability to adapt to constant changes and work independently with moderate supervision Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
