Job Description Job Title: Electromechanical Assembler Job Description The Electromechanical Assembler is responsible for assembling, wiring, testing, and troubleshooting complex electro-mechanical products and subassemblies. This role requires strong hands-on skills, the ability to read engineering drawings, and a commitment to producing high-quality, reliable assemblies that meet manufacturing and customer requirements. Responsibilities • Assemble electro-mechanical components, including mechanical frames, wiring harnesses, PCBs, sensors, motors, and control modules., • Perform mechanical assembly using hand tools, torque tools, and fixtures., • Execute electrical wiring and cable routing per schematics, wiring diagrams, and work instructions., • Create work instructions as needed to reflect assembly processes and align components to meet dimensional and functional requirements., • Build subassemblies and integrate them into final systems., • Perform functional tests, continuity checks, and basic electrical measurements using multimeters and test equipment., • Identify and correct assembly issues, wiring errors, or mechanical misalignments., • Escalate complex issues to engineering or manufacturing leads., • Read and interpret engineering drawings, BOMs, and work instructions., • Complete production travelers, inspection forms, and build records accurately., • Follow ESD, safety, and quality procedures at all times., • Support continuous improvement by providing feedback on build issues or documentation gaps., • Pull components and hardware from inventory based on BOM requirements., • Maintain a clean, organized work area., • Blueprint reading, • Assembly skills, • Electrical and mechanical assembly proficiency, • Experience with hand tools, • 2+ years of experience in electro-mechanical assembly, wiring, or related manufacturing roles, • Ability to read and interpret mechanical drawings, wiring diagrams, and schematics, • Proficiency with crimpers, soldering equipment, and measurement tools, • High school diploma required; technical certificate or AS degree preferred, • Experience in regulated industries (medical device, aerospace, defense) is a plus, • Strong attention to detail and craftsmanship, • Good communication and teamwork skills, • Ability to work independently and follow detailed instructions Join a small company that is expanding quickly, offering exciting growth opportunities. Work Environment Work within a small team of 1 Tech and 2 Engineers, with plans to add 3-4 more employees by early 2026. Be prepared to work with heavy parts and tools, and must be able to lift 50 lbs. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Carlsbad, CA. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $23.00 - $26.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
