Job Description Job Title: Yard Worker Job Overview As a Yard Worker, you will sort, move, and stage materials to meet size and specification requirements while supporting daily yard operations. You may operate heavy equipment such as skid steers, front loaders, and CAT machinery, with training provided if needed. This role requires following all safety protocols and reporting hazards or equipment issues. The work is physically demanding—bending, lifting, and working in various positions—and takes place outdoors in all weather conditions. Responsibilities • Operate an oxy-propane torch to cut and prepare metal materials., • Examine and measure metals to ensure they meet required specifications., • Assist with general yard operations like sorting and staging materials., • Operate heavy equipment such as skid steers, front loaders, and CAT machinery., • Follow all safety protocols and report any hazards or equipment issues., • Experience using an oxy-propane torch or similar cutting tools., • Previous experience in metal processing, scrap yard operations, or industrial environments., • Experience operating heavy equipment, including skid steers, front loaders, and CAT equipment., • Ability to identify different metals., • Shop math experience., • 401k retirement plan with company match, • Comprehensive health insurance including medical, dental, and vision coverage, • Christmas bonus based on performance., • Provided a flexible spending account & health savings account options, • PTO, • Holiday pay, • Life insurance, • Disability coverage This is a fast-paced environment with exposure to heat, cold, rain, snow, and other weather conditions. Job Type & Location This is a Permanent position based out of Minneapolis, MN. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $24.00 - $25.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
