Job Description Job Title: Service Writer/Body Estimator - Leadership and Customer service skills needed! Job Description We are seeking reliable Service Writers/Estimators to join our expanding, family-owned Truck and Automotive Service shop. You will work across multiple facilities with a variety of vehicles, becoming part of a team known for exceptional service and reliability. Responsibilities • Estimate and write automotive and light truck invoices., • Manage customer interactions, including vehicle intake, symptom assessment, and job assignment to technicians., • Order parts, write bills, update customers on vehicle status, and handle check-outs., • Close the shop at the end of the day., • Assess and manage automotive problems by listening to customer descriptions, conducting inspections, and reviewing vehicle maintenance records., • Track, organize, and verify warranty and service contract coverage., • Develop estimates by costing materials, supplies, and labor, and calculating customer payments, including deductibles., • Prepare and manage repair orders by detailing symptoms, problems, causes, and necessary repairs and services., • Maintain customer rapport by explaining estimates, obtaining approvals, and arranging towing or temporary transportation., • Update automotive records by recording problems and planned corrective actions., • Customer Service Skills, • Service Writing, • Service Advising, • Automotive/Diesel Service, • Customer Service Orientation, • 7am-5pm M-F with flexibility if needed. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $30.00 - $40.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
