Job Description Job Title: Automation Maintenance Technician Job Description We are seeking a skilled Multi Craft Maintenance Technician with experience in diagnosing, troubleshooting, and repairing CNC machines. The ideal candidate will handle automation machine tool electrical maintenance, working on a variety of CNC equipment including CNC mills, CNC lathes, CNC machining centers, and robotics. You will work with over 35 OEM machine brands and handle equipment such as P&H cranes/hoists, conveyors, furnaces, large part washers, ABB robots, and CNC machine tools. You will also be responsible for repairing CNC and PLC equipment with controllers from brands like Fanuc, Siemens, and Modicon. Key tasks include troubleshooting and repairing AC/DC analog and digital drives, sensors, cables, wiring, drive faults, encoders, and 480V systems. You will connect a laptop to machines to diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair issues. The maintenance team uses a MMS system to generate work orders, and you will log all maintenance performed using a company-provided computer/tablet. Prioritize machinery repairs based on the value stream of the equipment. Responsibilities • Diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair CNC machines., • Handle automation machine tool electrical maintenance., • Work with various CNC equipment including mills, lathes, and machining centers., • Manage over 35 OEM machine brands and related equipment., • Repair CNC and PLC equipment with Fanuc, Siemens, and Modicon controllers., • Troubleshoot and repair AC/DC analog and digital drives, sensors, cables, wiring, drive faults, encoders, and 480V systems., • Connect laptops to machines for diagnostic and troubleshooting purposes., • Troubleshooting and repair skills., • Electrical maintenance knowledge., • Experience with blueprint reading and schematic interpretation., • Ability to troubleshoot PLC controls and edit ladder logic., • Experience with controls systems (Allen Bradley, Siemens, Rockwell, Fanuc)., • AC/DC power experience. Enjoy weekly per diem checks of $1,050 to cover lodging, food, etc. Work Environment Work in a climate-controlled, clean manufacturing facility with a machine shop production environment. Candidates will work off-shift hours, with shifts available on 2nd and 3rd. The 2nd shift operates from 3:30 PM to 11:30 PM, and the 3rd shift runs from 11:30 PM to 7:30 AM. Initial training will be conducted on the 1st shift, ensuring candidates are prepared before moving to their assigned shift. Job Type & Location This is a Permanent position based out of Atlanta, GA. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $42.00 - $45.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
