Requires eye-hand coordination and manual dexterity sufficient to operate a keyboard, photocopier, telephone, calculator and other office equipment. Requires normal range of hearing and eyesight to record, prepare and communicate appropriate reports. Requires lifting papers or boxes up to 25 pounds occasionally. Work is performed in an office environment. Work may be stressful at times. Contact may involve dealing with angry or upset people. Staff must remain flexible and available to provide staffing assistance for any/all disaster or emergency situations., • Candidates for this position must possess interpersonal and computer skills, dependability, have an eye for detail and accuracy, be able to work in a fast-paced and at times stressful environment, be highly motivated, work independently, have the ability to prioritize and multi-task, assist team members when needed, and be able to be on your feet for long periods at a time., • Alternate weekends and holidays is required as the Emergency Department is a 24/7 operation., • Candidates should also maintain a positive attitude towards patients, visitors, fellow team members and all other staff that is consistent with the mission, goals, and policies of UHS.
