Buckner Blvd. Dallas, TX, 75227Job Schedule: Full-Time We are seeking an Adoption Specialist to join our Foster Care & Adoption team in Dallas, TX. The Adoption Specialist serves in a strategic function at Buckner Children and Family Services is responsible for facilitating the placement and adoption of children in the care of TDFPS statewide (Waiting Texas Children) as well as Domestic Infant Adoption. Establish and build supportive and nurturing relationships with clients; Provide therapeutic services to the child and adoptive parents, before, during and after the adoption; provides services as prescribed by licensing standards and Texas law. Also review TARE children and submit appropriate families for consideration., • Review information on children in order to assess a prospective family's ability to provide a safe, loving home that can meet the child's needs in the DIA and WTC programs., • Supervise adoptive families from home study approval until finalization in the DIA and WTC programs., • Attend TDFPS placement meetings and make recommendations for matching and selection of TDPFS children with Buckner WTC families., • Participate in child placing decisions for children being placed in adoptive homes. Complete documentation regarding the child placed in adoptive homes that meet licensing and contract requirements., • Advocate for Buckner families to TDFPS staff to increase the number of children placed in Buckner WTC homes for the purpose of adoption., • Assist adoptive families in the development of family profiles as they are used in placement considerations in both the WTC and DIA programs., • Effectively develop and monitor family dynamics and treatment plans., • Participate in the planning for adoptive family support groups. Effectively lead appropriate and professional support groups for clients as needed., • Travel throughout assigned area to provide services to adoptive families., • Requires in-depth understanding of a comprehensive field of knowledge normally associated with attainment of education and experience related to the Buckner mission. Essential Functions: • Prepare patients for stress tests by explaining procedures, obtaining consent, and attaching electrodes and other monitoring equipment., • Administer and monitor various types of stress tests, including stress echocardiograms, treadmill, nuclear, and pharmacologic stress tests, in accordance with established protocols such as Bruce protocol., • Monitor patients’ vital signs (heart rate, blood pressure, ECG, oxygen saturation) throughout the stress test and recognize any abnormalities or signs of distress., • Collaborate with the healthcare team to interpret test results and report findings to the supervising cardiologist., • Ensure all testing equipment is properly calibrated, maintained, and in good working condition., • Provide patients with pre- and post-test instructions, including recovery procedures and safety guidelines., • Perform PET CT procedures for use by physicians in the diagnosing and treating of patient illness., • Perform Nuclear Medicine/Cardiology and PET CT procedures at a technical level not requiring constant supervision of technical detail., • Maintain accurate and detailed records of tests, procedures, and patient information in electronic medical records (EMR) system., • Follow all safety and infection control protocols to ensure a clean and safe testing environment., • Assist with patient care as needed, including providing emergency care in the event of a cardiac event during testing., • High school diploma or equivalent; Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in a related healthcare field preferred, • Certified Cardiac Stress Technician (CST) or Certified Cardiographic Technician (CCT) preferred, • CPR/BLS and ACLS certification, • Minimum of 1–2 years of experience as a Cardiac Stress Technician, preferably in an outpatient setting, • Proficient in IV starts, EKG monitoring, and cardiac stress testing protocols, • Knowledge of HIPAA regulations, patient confidentiality, and quality standards of care, • Strong interpersonal and communication skills to work effectively with patients, families, and healthcare teams, • Physical ability to assist with patient positioning, transfers, and mobility, • Valid Texas driver’s license, automobile liability insurance, and acceptable driving record, • Fridays 8 AM - 3 PM at the Dallas location

Job DescriptionSalary: 52,000 Child and Family Guidance Center is recruiting for a providesYes Waiver Community Living Support Specialist- Qualified Mental Health Professional.The CLS provides curriculum-based skills training and evidence-based practices to participants working on a wide array of needs including but not limited to independent living skills, anger management, socialization, relationship-building skills, coping skills, family /parent skills and positive communication skills. A CLS may reinforce skills or lessons taught in school, therapy, or other approved settings. All services are provided in a trauma informed/ person-driven format. The position requires use of initiative and independent judgment in order to provide interventions in the community, home, and school to YES Waiver participants. They are responsible for attending child and family team meetings monthly along with weekly services and must be effective at troubleshooting and organizing support, interventions, and services to achieve outcomes. The CLS must have the ability to work independently and collaboratively as needed and have effective communication with supervisory staff when necessary. Duties and Responsibilities: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.
