Job Summary Hanover Bank is looking for a full-time Relationship Liaison I - SBA to join our team. The Relationship Liaison I - SBA supports the packaging, documentation, and workflow management of SBA loan applications in accordance with SBA Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) and Bank credit policies. This role works closely with Business Development Officers (BDOs), borrowers, brokers, underwriting, and closing teams to ensure loan files are complete, compliant, and efficiently progressed through the origination pipeline. The Relationship Liaison I - SBA serves as a key operational and communication bridge between all parties throughout the SBA loan process. Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities • Coordinate the packaging and processing of SBA loan applications in compliance with SBA SOP and Bank policies., • Drive and direct the SBA loan process from application through underwriting submission, proactively managing documentation collection, third-party reports, and internal coordination to ensure loan files are complete, accurate, and submitted in accordance with SBA SOP and Bank standards., • Serve as the primary liaison between borrowers, brokers, BDOs, underwriting, and closing, ensuring timely communication and documentation collection., • Prepare and distribute loan-specific documentation checklists and track outstanding items to maintain file progress., • Review incoming documentation for completeness, accuracy, and consistency prior to underwriting submission., • Order and manage third-party reports, including appraisals, business valuations, site visits, IRS tax transcript verifications, environmental reports, plan and cost reviews, and UCC searches., • Perform required due diligence and compliance checks, including LexisNexis, SAM, CAIVRS, OFAC, and Flood Determinations., • Assist in the preparation of loan term sheets and coordinate the collection and tracking of Good Faith Deposits., • Maintain responsibility for workflow management of assigned loan files, ensuring all processing steps are completed and properly documented within the loan origination system., • Support SBA E-Tran submissions and registrations and maintain familiarity with SBA electronic processing requirements., • Partner with underwriters and closers to obtain additional documentation and resolve conditions needed for approval and closing., • Maintain confidentiality, secure document handling, and regulatory compliance in accordance with Bank policies., • Participate in ongoing SBA and regulatory training, including required ABA and internal Bank training programs., • Update Pipeline Reporting., • Undertakes additional roles and responsibilities to support the SBA Department as reasonably requested by the Director.
