This position is responsible for the estimating and bidding process of projects involving life safety systems and associated devices. Responsible from beginning to end of all bids, negotiated work and awarded contracts, including timelines, material purchases and deadlines. This position includes the ability to generate new revenue through existing customers as well as new customers. Location: 10236 Fisher Ave Tampa, FL 33619 Essential Duties & Responsibilities: • Generate new business to improve revenues., • Working closely with local and regional management to achieve monthly sales goals., • Perform Commercial Business Onsite quote surveys for design and installation of new Fire Alarm, Burglar, Access Control and CCTV systems., • Perform Customer Onsite visits for upgrading maintenance and expansion of buildings and tenant space for Fire Alarm needs. Includes Burglary, CCTV, access control., • Create detailed project descriptions needed for an accurate and detailed job., • Work with Contractors and Customers to accurately quote the cost of jobs in a timely manner and follow up with contractors and customers on a regular basis throughout the installation process., • Ensure all job contracts are completed and adhere to insurance, compliance and company standards before site work begins., • Review all contracts that include Prevailing Wages or AIA Billing with Operations Manager, • Ensure all needed parts and materials lists are presented in a timely manner to the purchasing department to avoid cost overruns and job start delays., • Review with the Install Manager throughout the job installation for job progress and address any issues immediately., • Perform on-going jobsite visits to gather information on job progress and take pictures as needed., • Accurately review the cost of in progress jobs in a timely manner, to avoid cost overruns., • Complete all job reports in a timely fashion., • Responsible for completing all job close out reports., • Manage the process from beginning to end, including timelines, deadlines and estimating packages., • Work closely with install crews., • Must maintain all required CEU’s and Certifications; NICET and State License required by your local licensing agency. Education/Qualification: • A minimum of 3 years of industry experience is required., • NICET certification Level I preferred., • Must demonstrate excellent written and oral communication skills and be customer service oriented., • Must have good interpersonal skills and be able to work in a team environment as well as work independently., • Must have a clean driving record and reliable transportation to/from the office or job site., • Must be flexible with scheduling requirements that occasionally will require evening, weekend and/or out-of-town assignments. Responsibilities include inspecting, testing and performing system checks in accordance to fire code; identifying code and system deficiencies and preparing accurate and timely inspection reports. Location: 10236 Fisher Ave Tampa, FL 33619 Essential Duties & Responsibilities: * Install or upgrade fire alarms in commercial and residential buildings. * Test and repair alarm systems already in place * Perform inspections to ensure alarms are installed according to code. * Complete detailed inspection reports, documenting any issues. * Report results of work completed in an accurate and timely manner. * Protect and maintain company equipment. * Inspect and maintain the truck and all related equipment, putting in repair requests as necessary to maintain safe operation. * Operate warehouse equipment, including vehicles, in a way that facilitates the loading and unloading of the truck while observing all safety regulations and manufacturer’s safety instructions for that equipment. * Work in a safe manner as outlined by company safety procedures including driver safety and personal protective equipment. * Respond to emergency service calls. * Maintain a clean and safe workspace. * Perform other duties assigned by management. Their responsibilities revolve around performing research and analysis, utilizing equipment data and product knowledge, producing 2D drawings & schematics, and coordinating with engineers, project managers, and facilitating work permits. Furthermore, a fire alarm designer may design upgrades and enhancements, create project templates & standards, take part in codes & standards seminars, attend manufacturers training and development sessions, research new fire codes and installation standards, create efficiencies in drafting quality and establish minimum design standards. Essential Duties & Responsibilities: * Follow all OSHA standards and laws, and incorporate safety standards into designs. * Submit installation drawings for approval to AHJ. * Attend regular development meetings. * Address limitations of technologies and materials involved in the design & CAD process. * Incorporate feedback into BIM (Building Information Modeling) models and system designs. * Make revisions to drawings, plans, & models as requested. * Keep up to date on all modern advancement in manufacturer’s equipment, Building Codes changes, and software technologies. * Pursue ongoing education in the Fire Safety field. * Apply and Submit drawings for approval to AHJ (installation permits). * Design of Fire and Alarm System drawings, as-built drawings, system calculations, and Riser diagrams. * Re-create new (MEP) and structural drawings under existing conditions for design coordination. * Read and interpret architectural, structural and MEP drawings. * Provide accurate electrical schematics per client conditions and analyze and track technical specifications including dimensions, arrangements, and installation procedures. * Perform other duties assigned by management.
