The RN delivers high-acuity, life-supporting interventions in a Level I pediatric trauma and cardiac ICU environment. Job duties: Provide direct intensive care to pediatric and neonatal cardiac patients in the CVPICU Monitor and manage critically ill children requiring advanced life-support interventions Care for post-operative pediatric cardiac surgery patients, including congenital heart defect repairs Manage ventilated patients including airway support, suctioning, and respiratory assessments Interpret and respond to cardiac rhythms and hemodynamic changes Administer critical medications, IV drips, and blood products per pediatric ICU protocols Assist in management of invasive lines and advanced monitoring systems Respond to pediatric emergencies including respiratory failure, shock, and post-cardiac arrest care Ensure infection control and strict adherence to pediatric ICU safety protocols Collaborate with multidisciplinary pediatric and cardiac care teams Requirements: Licensure: Active RN License (Compact or TN) Experience: Minimum 2 years pediatric ICU experience required (strong CVPICU experience preferred) Certifications: Not Specified Other requirement: Pediatrics experience required No first-time travelers unless 3 years recent experience BSN preferred Must comply with strict 100-mile radius rule Must be willing to work pediatric critical care cases in a high-acuity trauma center Unit Details: Unit: CV ICU (56128) Patient Ratios: Not Specified Patient Population: Neonates, Infants, Children, Adolescents Patient Diagnoses: Pediatric cardiac conditions including congenital heart disease, post-cardiac surgery recovery, respiratory failure, shock, and multi-system critical illness HonorVet Technologies Job ID #32216172.
