Job Description MAMMOGRAPHY TECHNOLOGIST Job Title: Mammography Tech – Multi-Modality Imaging OP Center Rate: Up to $2500.00 weekly Location: Atlanta, GA Day Shift (8H) - (5 x 8 hour/day) Key Responsibilities Responsibilities • Perform Mammographic Procedures: Conduct mammograms and other imaging techniques as per physician orders, ensuring high-quality images for accurate diagnosis., • Patient Care: Prepare patients for procedures by explaining the process, ensuring their comfort, and providing care before, during, and after imaging., • Equipment Maintenance: Operate and maintain mammography equipment, ensuring it functions correctly and safely, and report any malfunctions., • Quality Assurance: Monitor and ensure the quality of mammographic images, adhering to safety protocols to minimize radiation exposure to patients and staff., • Record Keeping: Maintain detailed patient records and logs as required by department protocols and regulatory standards., • Collaboration: Work closely with radiologists and other healthcare professionals to discuss findings and determine if additional imaging is necessary. Education • Prefer a minimum of two (2) year of proven experience as a Mammography Technologist., • Excellent understanding of anatomy, medical terminology, and ability to communicate it., • Proficiency in operating radiologic equipment and ability to fix minor issues., • Strong attention to detail and patient safety., • Current registration with the American Registry of Radiologic Technologist (ARRT) and certification in Mammography, • Must be able to obtain and maintain CPR certification.
