Job DescriptionJob Description – Senior Field Service, Assembly & Quality Technician (Cranes, Hoists & Winches)Position Overview We are looking for a Senior Field Service, Assembly & Quality Technician to join our team in Miami, FL. This position is primarily facility-based, focusing on the assembly, testing, quality control, and repair of cranes, hoists, and winches, with occasional travel to customer sites for installation, troubleshooting, and service. The ideal candidate is an experienced and hands-on technician who combines strong technical knowledge with a commitment to quality assurance and compliance. Key Responsibilities • Assemble, wire, and test cranes, hoists, winches, and electrical control panels at the Miami assembly facility., • Perform quality control inspections on assembled equipment to ensure compliance with UL508A, NEC, ASME B30.7, and OSHA standards., • Maintain and enforce quality assurance procedures throughout the assembly and service process., • Diagnose and repair electrical, mechanical, and hydraulic systems., • Perform preventive maintenance, functional testing, and final acceptance checks before equipment delivery., • Document and track non-conformities, corrective actions, and continuous improvement initiatives., • Provide technical support and occasional field service for installations, inspections, and troubleshooting., • Collaborate with engineering, production, and management to improve product reliability and reduce service issues., • Maintain accurate assembly records, test reports, inspection logs, and QA documentation., • Ensure strict adherence to safety protocols and promote a culture of quality and compliance. Required Qualifications • 5–7 years’ experience in assembly, installation, maintenance, and/or quality control of industrial lifting equipment (hoists, cranes, winches)., • Strong knowledge of electric motor controls, wiring, and troubleshooting., • Hands-on experience with VFDs, PLCs, and control panels., • Ability to read and verify electrical/mechanical schematics for QA and QC purposes., • Experience in inspection procedures, test plans, and quality reporting., • Familiarity with safety and compliance standards (ASME B30.7, UL508A, OSHA, NEC)., • Physically capable of workshop and occasional field work (lifting, climbing, working at heights)., • Valid driver’s license and ability to travel occasionally for service/installation. Preferred Skills (Nice-to-Have) • Certification in Quality Control / Quality Assurance (ISO 9001, Six Sigma, or similar)., • Certification in UL508A Panel Building or equivalent., • Experience with automation systems (CAN-BUS, Modbus, Ethernet/IP)., • Welding, rigging, or machining background., • Bilingual in English and Spanish (advantage for Miami operations)., • OSHA 30 or equivalent safety training.
