This teaching facility provides a collaborative environment, EPIC charting, and opportunities for professional growth for perioperative and transplant nurses. \n\nJob Details – Travel Nurse / OR RN\n\n • Position: Operating Room Registered Nurse (OR RN) – Transplant / Perioperative Nurse\n, • Weekly Estimated Pay: $2,250 - $2,370 (competitive travel nurse pay)\n, • Location: Weston, FL 33331 (South Florida travel nursing job)\n, • Setting: Short Term Acute Care, Teaching Facility\n, • Contract Duration: 13 weeks (July 6, 2026 – October 5, 2026)\n, • Shift: Day shifts, 4x10-hour (06:45 – 17:15)\n, • On-call: 1 shift per week and (2) 12-hour weekend shifts per month\n, • Guaranteed Hours: 40 hours per week\n, • Charting / EMR: EPIC (experience preferred)\n, • Scrub Color: Ceil Blue\n, • Parking: Free in any unrestricted space\n\n\nRequired Qualifications – Transplant OR RN / Surgical Nurse\n\n, • Minimum 2 years of direct liver/transplant OR RN experience required (transplant implantation experience required)\n, • Registered Nurse (RN) license – pending license accepted\n, • ACLS and BLS certifications from AHA or American Red Cross (must have at time of submittal)\n, • NIHSS certification (must obtain prior to start)\n, • Proficiency in MISONIX/CUSA and other specialized OR equipment\n, • Experience with liver, heart, lung, and kidney transplant procedures that includes organ implantation\n, • Nicotine-free (negative 10 Panel + Nicotine drug screen required)\n, • Ability to float within scope to meet facility needs and cover other surgical cases\n, • All requested time off must be submitted up front\n, • Willingness to participate in training (students and new staff)\n, • EKG and Pharm tests required during orientation (2 attempts max)\n\n\nKey Responsibilities – Perioperative & Transplant Nursing\n\n, • Provide perioperative care for transplant surgeries including liver, heart, lung, and kidney procedures\n, • Assist with organ implantation and manage complex surgical cases in the OR\n, • Operate specialized equipment such as MISONIX/CUSA and maintain equipment safety\n, • Collaborate with interdisciplinary transplant teams in a teaching hospital environment\n, • Float to other surgical specialties as needed when not assigned to transplant cases\n, • Maintain accurate documentation using EPIC and follow perioperative documentation standards\n, • Adhere to infection control, universal precautions, and patient safety protocols\n, • Participate in ongoing education, in-service training, and precepting of students/new staff\n\n\n This is an exciting travel nurse opportunity for experienced OR RNs and transplant nurses to work in a high-acuity, supportive teaching environment while enjoying all that Weston and South Florida have to offer.
