Job Description The Lemon Grove Server is responsible for providing exceptional dining experiences by delivering attentive, efficient, and professional service. This role requires strong knowledge of the menu, wine and beverage offerings, and the ability to anticipate guest needs in a fast-paced environment. Servers are expected to uphold Vine Street Hospitality’s standards of hospitality and contribute to a warm, welcoming atmosphere for all guests. Key Responsibilities: • Bring a warm, fun, and professional energy to every shift, creating a welcoming environment for our guests., • Detail tables before service: ensure neat, organized place settings, polished glassware, and clean seats., • Greet guests promptly, present menus, and make thoughtful recommendations on food, wine, and cocktails., • Collect member name, room number, or membership ID at the start of service to avoid billing issues., • Takeaccurateorders, enter them into the POS, and ensure any allergies or special requests are noted., • Deliver food and drinks quickly and with proper presentation,checkingback within 2 minutes to confirm guest satisfaction., • Anticipate guest needs, stay attentive to your section, and provide upbeat, efficient service throughout the meal., • Pre-bus and reset tables consistently to keep the dining room clean and service flowing smoothly., • Work as a team player with bartenders, hosts, runners, and management — communicate clearly and respectfully., • At the Roof Deck, greet guests as they step off the elevator, guide them to the right area (restaurant or lounge), and provide menus., • Open and manage tabs correctly, process payments accurately, and follow all cash-handling procedures. Cash tips must be turned in as cash to a manager — no exceptions., • Arrive on time, in proper uniform, and ready to deliver high-energy, guest-focused service., • Maintain a professional appearance, polite attitude, and positive demeanor, regardless of the energy you receive from guests., • Use downtime productively — help run food, refillwaters, support teammates, and keep service areas stocked and clean., • No cell phones arepermittedon the floor during shifts., • Breaks must be approved by a manager before stepping off the floor., • Breaks must be taken before the 5th hour in compliance with labor laws., • Follow all safety, sanitation, and hygiene procedures., • Perform other reasonable duties as requested by management to support the overall success of the team and operation., • Previousserving experience in a high-volume or upscale dining environment preferred., • Strong knowledge of food, wine, beer, and cocktails., • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills., • Ability to multitask and remain calm under pressure., • Professional appearance and demeanor., • Must be able to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as businessrequires., • Ability to stand and walk for extended periods of time., • Must be able to seize, grasp, turn and hold objects with hands., • Must be able to bend, stoop, lift, reach, push, twist, walk, crouch, and squat., • Ability to lift and carry trays or cases of product up to 40 lbs., • Frequent bending, reaching, and repetitive motions during service.
