Job DescriptionSalary: 17.00 Title: Bartender Reports To: Bartender Lead, Shift Lead, SteelCraft Operations Manager, HCDM Senior Property Manager Direct Reports: N/A FLSA Status: Non-exempt Job Overview Off Duty Long Beach, a Southern California based beer and wine bar, is seeking a reliable and team-oriented Bartender to join our operation at SteelCraft Long Beach an outdoor food hall designed to serve and give back to the community. This is a great opportunity for someone who would enjoy working in a fun and fast-paced environment engaging with the local community. Our Bartenders are the primary ambassadors of Off Duty Beer + Wine. Bartenders are the face of the company and must represent Off Duty in everything you do and every interaction you have with customers. Bartender Duties: • Uphold Off Duty customer service standards, making our counter and SteelCraft a welcoming place for everyone., • Hospitality Focused: Greet and interact with guests in a polite and respectful manner with hospitality in mind. Answer questions and educate guests about our products; customize their experience. Maintain a positive attitude when engaging with guests, • Resolve customer complaints, • Practice Responsible Beverage Service - Maintain an awareness of guests state of mind and respond appropriately., • Collect payment and operate cash register, • Perform duties associated with opening and closing the bar, including cleaning and mopping, • Follow all SOPs and employee handbook guidelines., • Maintain a safe and clean work environment., • Check ID of any guests that appear under senior citizenship., • Bus and clean; countertop and guest seating for drinkware., • Sweep and mop floors as needed., • Wash and restock glassware., • Maintain and turn in on time an accurate timecard., • Be a team player., • Participate in Off Duty and SteelCraft events that occur during your shift as directed; Work special events as needed., • Arrive on time to prepare the SteelCraft property for operating hours, unlock/open gates and shutters., • Support SteelCraft Opening/Closing Procedure (i.e., turn on/off TV + music, neon sign, open/close arcade, locking up, etc.), • Inspect the SteelCraft premises to ensure cleanliness, functionality, and readiness for service., • Conduct a daily morning walkthrough of the SteelCraft property + facilities to identify and report any maintenance or safety issues., • Lead by example in maintaining professionalism, quality standards, and positive morale., • Other duties as assigned by the Bartender Lead, Shift Lead, SteelCraft Operations Manager or HCDM Senior Property Manager., • Work morning, afternoon, night, and/or weekends as needed., • Support marketing and content creation by sharing ideas and insights from guest interactions, contributing to promotional initiatives, and collaborating with the team to execute on-site programming and brand engagement activities. Qualifications • Proof of completion of LEAD course in accordance with ABC regulation within 30 days of hire date. Optional., • Proof of Responsible Beverage Service Certificate, • Proof of ServSafe Food Handler Certificate, • Must be of legal age to serve as a bartender in accordance with federal, state, and otherwise local regulation., • Knowledge of alcoholic beverages and bar menu items, • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, • Good interpersonal skills with the ability to work effectively with individuals and groups at all organizational levels., • Impeccable hospitality and customer service skills, and a desire to interact with and host a wide range of individuals with varying levels of knowledge., • Ability to multitask and prioritize responsibilities in a fast-paced environment., • Self-starter with the ability to keep busy during any down time by completing side work tasks, and/or any other tasks assigned by your manager.
