Our client is a nationally recognized company in the health and wellness space. They are currently seeking a Supply Chain Manager to join their growing team. The Supply Chain Manager will be responsible for overseeing the procurement, distribution, and quality management of all products or ingredients in the Supply Chain Manager’s assigned category used in our client's products. This role requires strategic sourcing, vendor negotiation, contract management, and inventory optimization to ensure supply chain efficiency, cost savings, and product availability. The Supply Chain Manager will play a critical role in maintaining supplier relationships, mitigating risks, and driving operational excellence while aligning with brand growth strategies. Supervisory Responsibilities: No direct reports but serves as a key strategic leader in supplier management, contract negotiations, and cross-functional collaboration. Essential Functions / Major Responsibilities: Strategic Procurement & Contract Management • Develop and execute sourcing strategies for the assigned category, ensuring cost efficiency, quality, and reliability., • Lead contract negotiations with suppliers and distributors, securing long-term agreements that optimize pricing, service levels, and supply chain stability., • Evaluate, negotiate, and approve contracts, ensuring compliance with company policies and industry regulations., • Conduct risk assessments to identify potential supply chain disruptions and develop contingency plans. Inventory & Supplier Management • Manage inventory levels across distribution centers, ensuring timely replenishment while minimizing excess stock., • Oversee supplier performance by analyzing key metrics such as delivery timeliness, product quality, and cost efficiency., • Establish and maintain strong relationships with vendors to foster collaboration and secure priority access to high-demand products., • Monitor market trends, industry changes, and potential risks to proactively adjust purchasing strategies. Cost Control & Process Optimization • Identify and execute cost-saving initiatives through supplier negotiations, alternative sourcing, and efficiency improvements., • Analyze distributor error trends, identifying root causes and implementing corrective actions., • Audit local supplier pricing guides monthly to ensure competitive pricing and cost consistency across locations., • Collaborate with internal teams to optimize logistics, improve forecasting accuracy, and reduce waste. Cross-Functional Collaboration & Communication • Serve as the primary point of contact for internal stakeholders regarding product availability, pricing updates, and supply chain disruptions., • Communicate product attributes, availability, and pricing to sales and operations teams to support business objectives., • Support the Director of Supply Chain in strategic planning, special projects, and performance evaluations., • Ensure alignment with food safety regulations, sustainability initiatives, and ethical sourcing practices. Education and Experience • Bachelor’s degree in supply chain management, Business Administration, or a related field, preferred., • 5+ years of experience in supply chain, procurement, or purchasing, preferably within the food and beverage industry., • Strong vendor management skills, including contract negotiation, performance tracking, and compliance monitoring., • Experience in food industry distribution, perishable inventory management, and cost optimization., • Familiarity with FDA food regulations, quality assurance processes, and sustainability practices is a plus., • Experience supporting multiple individuals at multiple levels required., • Personal passion for fitness is a plus. Work Environment • Hybrid work schedule with one remote day per week and four in-office days (subject to change)., • Office-based role with occasional site visits to suppliers, distribution centers, or store locations., • May be exposed to varying noise levels from office equipment and occasional interruptions., • May be requested to work weekends for special events.
