Job Description Hiring Metal Fabricator Helpers/Shop Laborers! Days & Swing Shifts Available Job Description Join our team as a shop laborer, focusing on general fabrication and welding tasks. This role involves shearing, polishing welds, cutting parts on the saw, and operating machines. As a metal fabricator helper, you will also handle errands, part pickups, and deliveries. This position offers the opportunity to develop into a full-time welder fabricator. Responsibilities • Perform miscellaneous shop-related jobs such as cutting, drilling, sanding, welding, and shearing stainless steel sheets., • Pack and prepare products for shipment., • Load and unload delivery trucks., • Operate overhead cranes, forklifts, and other material handling equipment., • Deliver and pick up parts from suppliers using the company truck and trailer., • Communicate professionally with customers and suppliers., • Read instructions, shop drawings, and work orders for multiple jobs., • Set up and operate welding equipment, adjusting voltage, amperage, and gas flow., • Inspect welds for defects such as cracks, porosity, and incomplete fusion, making necessary repairs., • Prior experience in a metal/fabrication shop environment., • Some welding experience is a plus., • Prior fabrication experience (cutting, using drill press, shear, band saw, etc.)., • Valid driver’s license., • Ability to sit, stand, and walk up to 10 hours per day., • Ability to crawl, crouch, stand, stoop, bend, and lift up to 50 lbs., • Flexible and responsive with a strong teamwork orientation. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $24.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
