Position Description Summary The Director, Portfolio Decision Strategy will play a pivotal role in partnering with senior leadership and project teams to embed decision quality process that guide strategic decisions and effective management of portfolio risks, directly influencing how resources and investments are allocated for maximum value creation. Main Responsibilities & Accountabilities Strategic Decision Consultation and Facilitation: • Serve as an internal consultant by collaborating with project teams to deliver specialized expertise in decision analysis and modelling., • Implement structured decision-making methodologies and advanced modelling techniques to assess possible outcomes, navigate complex choices, and provide data-driven recommendations for team presentations to Governance., • Lead project teams through scenario planning, risk assessment, and sensitivity analysis to support comprehensive assessments and informed strategic decisions., • Lead and moderate high-impact workshops and collaborative sessions to distil decision objectives, surface creative solutions, and rigorously evaluate trade-offs, driving consensus and clarity in decision pathways., • Promote transparency, inclusiveness, and alignment with organizational objectives in portfolio decision-making processes., • Develop and implement standardized processes and tools to ensure consistent application of portfolio decision analysis within the PD&C framework., • Design and deliver targeted training programs, tailored to build advanced decision analysis capabilities across project teams and stakeholders., • Inspire a culture of continuous learning, excellence, and innovation in decision quality throughout the organization., • Create case studies and disseminate success stories to highlight the impact and value of decision quality initiatives. MBA or advanced scientific degree (MS, PhD) strongly preferred, with demonstrated understanding of pharmaceutical R&D processes and business fundamentals., • Minimum 12+ years of biopharmaceutical industry experience with exposure to research, development, and/or commercialization processes.
