Job Summary: Under the direction of Management, participate in warehouse shipping/ receiving, stocking, organizing and quality control of rental equipment. This also includes maintaining an accurate inventory control system, ensuring a well-organized warehouse, assisting with order fulfillment and related functions, and transportation of equipment to and from team members in the field when needed. Key Responsibilities: • Prepare shipments to other SmartSource branches, job sites, or customers., • Ensure equipment is complete, accurate, and safely packed for shipping., • Determine method of shipment by utilizing knowledge of shipping procedures, rates, and routes., • Schedule freight and package pickups with shipping carriers., • Ensure branch inventory transactions are accurately recorded in the company operating system., • Accurately receive product into inventory., • Maintain physical organization of the warehouse., • Maintain inventory control system ensuring all stock movements are properly tracked and accounted for., • Keep warehouse in a clean and organized state., • Participate in regular inventory cycle count program., • Convey materials and items from receiving to production areas or storage as needed., • Participate in continuous improvement / 5S activities., • Quality control inbound technology checking for damages, test, clean and return stock to designated area. Requirements: • Must be able to lift 50 pounds., • Experience operating standup forklift, pallet jacks, and other warehouse equipment., • Must have a “can-do" attitude and be able to work as a team member and on own., • Requires the ability to think and work independently, meet deadlines, and have extreme attention to detail., • Good interpersonal skills., • Ability to pass pre-employment background check., • Strong computer skills with working knowledge of MS Office., • Requires a valid driver’s license, with a clean record, to drive company vehicles to support our team at area venues when needed., • Requires loading/unloading of company vehicles.
