Job Description Corporate Controller Location: Green Brook New Jersey Onsite: 5 days per week Compensation: ~$150,000 base salary (commensurate with experience) Resume Submission: Position Overview Kelly Services is partnering with a commercial mechanical and HVAC services organization to identify an experienced Corporate Controller. This role will oversee day-to-day accounting operations while supporting executive leadership with accurate financial reporting, forecasting, and compliance. The position is fully onsite and highly hands-on, with direct responsibility for financial controls, reporting, and team leadership. Key Responsibilities • Financial Oversight & Compliance, • Oversee accounting and financial operations in accordance with GAAP and regulatory requirements, • Evaluate existing financial processes and implement internal controls and improvements, • Manage budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting for senior leadership, • Financial Management & Reporting, • Prepare and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements, • Conduct variance analysis, balance sheet, P&L, and cash flow reviews, • Maintain accurate accounting records across departments, • Lead Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable functions, • Establish policies, procedures, and performance standards, • Partner with HR on payroll, compensation, and commission administration as applicable, • Audit & External Coordination, • Serve as primary contact for external CPA firm and auditors, • Support audit planning, execution, and final reporting, • Prepare monthly Work-in-Progress (WIP) schedules, • Support system enhancements, cost initiatives, and operational integrations, • Assist with special projects as needed Qualifications • 10+ years of accounting or finance experience, preferably within construction, mechanical, HVAC, or project-based services, • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field, • CPA or CMA preferred, • Strong experience with budgeting, forecasting, and consolidated financial reporting, • Solid understanding of cost accounting, asset management, and ERP systems, • Proven experience leading and developing accounting teams, • Experience with ADP payroll systems, • Ability to manage AP/AR aging, cash flow, and departmental financial performance, • Experience preparing WIP schedules, • Familiarity with union environments and Collective Bargaining Agreements strongly preferred, • Strong attention to detail, follow-through, and organizational skills Work Environment • Fully onsite role, five days per week, • High visibility position with direct interaction with senior leadership To apply: Interviews are happening NOW - Please email resumes to Company DescriptionKelly helps companies recruit and manage skilled workers and helps job seekers find great work in industries such as accounting and finance, education, engineering, government, manufacturing and production, technology, and more.
