Job Description Our organization is in search of a System Division Director for Complex Family Planning within the Department of Obstetrics, Gynecology, and Reproductive Science. A robust and efficient division is essential for advancing the clinical, research, and educational objectives of the department and its academic health center collaborators. The chosen candidate will be pivotal in delivering outstanding patient care, achieving quality outcomes, and ensuring patient satisfaction. The key responsibilities include: General Responsibilities • Foster a positive work atmosphere that promotes open communication at all levels., • Cultivate a culture of professionalism, trust, and teamwork within the division., • Implement a system to ensure timely dissemination of information from the department, medical school, and health system to all faculty and staff., • Hold regular meetings with all division personnel, including clinical, research, and administrative staff., • Schedule division meetings to maximize attendance., • Stay informed about local and national healthcare trends and their potential impact on the discipline's future., • Formulate, execute, and periodically revise a strategic plan for the division that aligns with departmental, institutional, and health system goals., • Identify avenues for expanding the division's clinical, research, and educational initiatives., • Establish specific clinical, research, and educational missions for the division and monitor progress toward these goals., • Ensure divisional involvement in departmental programs and initiatives, such as Grand Rounds and Morning Reports., • Provide guidance to faculty and staff regarding unacceptable behavior when necessary., • Oversee the timely completion of faculty evaluations and staff performance reviews as appropriate., • Ensure compliance among divisional faculty and staff with departmental and institutional expectations, including time-off approvals and training requirements.Academic Responsibilities, • Collaborate with the System Chair to recruit new faculty and staff to fulfill the division's mission., • Guide and monitor the academic progression of divisional faculty and fellows by providing effective mentorship, feedback, and evaluation., • Create individualized development plans for each faculty member that outline clinical, research, and educational goals., • Work alongside physicians, nurses, medical staff, social workers, and bereavement specialists to deliver comprehensive care and psychosocial support for those facing fetal abnormalities, challenging pregnancies, and fetal loss, in partnership with the Perinatal Bereavement Program., • Support individuals across the reproductive spectrum and collaborate regularly with various health centers and medical subspecialties within the health system., • Encourage faculty and fellows to volunteer at the East Harlem Outreach Partnership, a student-run free clinic providing primary care and reproductive health services to uninsured adults in the community.Qualifications, • Medical Degree from an accredited institution., • Board Certification in Obstetrics and Gynecology., • Possession of a New York Medical License or eligibility for licensure. Compensation ranges from $300,000 to $375,000 (excluding bonuses, incentive compensation, or benefits). Salary Disclosure Information: Our organization provides a salary range to comply with New York City’s Salary Transparency law. Actual salaries may vary based on factors such as experience, specialties, historical productivity, and community needs. Therefore, actual salaries may be closer to either end of the range and, in some cases, may fall outside the listed range. The stated salary range is for full-time positions and does not include bonuses or benefits.
